About

Spanning 3,519 km and 21 stages, the Tour De France is the ultimate test of cycling endurance but also a fantastic spectator occasion. The race is now in its 103rd year and is always marked by crowds lining the roadsides and hillsides to cheer on the participants. The participants will start in Northern France, cycling from Normandy to the south coast, into Spain, Andorra and later Switzerland, and back up to Paris. Britain’s Chris Froome will be looking to defend his winner’s yellow jersey this year.

The alternative...

Throw a Tour de France Party!

Some stages will probably be drenched in rain, and 23,000 members of elite police squads will be deployed along the race route at each stage to enforce security, so you’ll probably be better leaving aside the saddle and spending a lazy afternoon with friends on the sofa instead.
