It uses special filter brewing technology too, so the temperature is perfect for consistent results every time you use it. Good looking machine, very big compared to my old Krups filter coffee maker. The Krups used to hold the water in the coffee grounds for a couple of minutes, it made for a lovely strong but smooth flavour. This machine produces coffee that easily matches my Krups.
A couple of minus points... not easy to fill, a sliding door opens to reveal a small slot opening that needs careful filling to avoid water going all over the place. Only keeps the coffee hot for 30 minutes, my Krups stayed on for 90 minutes. Its tall so it can't go under the kitchen cabinet. But I can forgive these minor disadvantages as the coffee tastes so good.
Buy it you won't be disappointed!.
Pros: Good build quality, Looks goodCons: Expensive

Wow! love it!
I actually really like this coffee machine. It’s very on trend and good quality which I would expect from KitchenAid with it being of the higher price range of coffee machines. And more importantly it makes an excellent cup of coffee. It is very straightforward and doesn’t have pages and pages of instructions to teach you how to use it. With a few easy diagrams I was up and ready to go.
The buttons unless in direct sunlight are a slight struggle to read but once used a couple of times was quite simple to remember. The coffee came out of the machine lovely and hot however I feel a downside is that the warming plate keeps the coffee at optimum temperature for only 30 minutes after brewing, so if you was going to make 8 cups which is the maximum you can make in one sitting, you would need to drink it within this time. I would prefer if it had an option to keep this warming plate on for longer.
Other than that one downside I love it and even more so love the fact that I can set the timer to make me a cuppa in the morning. That in itself is just genius to me.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for moneyCons: warming plate
