Pros: Value for money, Good build quality, Quiet
Cons: Complicated, buttons difficult to press, installation and instructions for use too vague
"Before ordering this dishwasher, I telephoned Philips (Whirlpool) to confirm a number of things - was it a perfect replacement for the 11 year old machine which had just broken down, would it fit in the fully integrated space in my kitchen etc. and was the guarantee Europe-wide as I was transporting it to France, where I live. This was the model recommended as the perfect replacement.
Having taken delivery of it and transported it to our French home and tried to fit it I found that It does fit into the space available except that the depth is marginally greater and I have to re-make the electrical socket behind the appliance to 'hard wire' it, as a plug will not now fit to allow the machine to enter fully.
Also, the fittings for the fascia panel are different which has meant removing the old fittings and re-drilling the door front to fit it.
The operations of the buttons is complicated by comparison with the old machine. They are very stiff to press and give no real audible 'click' to indicate they have worked.
The scant 2 page "quick guide' for operating the machine is woefully vague and difficult to follow and the installation instructions equally so.
On the operational side, the first time we used it we found that our Denby dinner plates, which are a standard size and fitted into our old machine, now foul the upper spray arm. Otherwise the performance is good."
