Pros: Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good
Cons: some minor usability issues
"First off, this is a really high quality product. The brushed metal finish looks excellent, it's got a powerful motor that's happy to mix even fairly thick dough, and it feels like it's going to last forever.
The key selling point of the item is the "Scraper" mixing attachment, which has little rubber lips on the edge in order to scrape mixture from the edges of the bowl while mixing takes place. This seems to help make really smooth batter and cake mix, I managed to get some incredibly silky brownies out of it without even bothering to sieve the flower, which was impressive!
The basic action of the mixer is a "planetary" action, which means that the mixing attachment rotates the opposite direction to the head whilst mixing. I was a little unsure about only having a single whisk arm at first, but the planetary action does seem to make it work very effectively, it quite happily whips eggs into a fluffy mix.
The built-in timer is a nice touch, as is the rotary dial with light indicator, although it's a pain that there isn't just a pause button (you have to rotate the dial back and forth, which can be a little fiddly if you're trying to be quick).
The only issue I've seen with the item was the head of the mixer moving side-to-side a little when mixing something very thick. That doesn't seem to affect the device at all (it's supposed to power down if it has any serious problems and this has not happened to me), but it does make a slightly "unhappy" noise!
Overall, I'd say this is a really good product. The build quality is excellent and it really does absolutely charge through mixing even really heavy bread dough, so I'd definitely recommend this to someone who likes to bake!"
