"I've had this oven for just under a month now and I have to say that it is the best oven I've ever had. Initially I was a little sceptical about the dual cook function given that when both ovens are in use as a split function you can only go as low as 170C in either oven, not much use for a slow baking cake I thought. However, my husband persuaded me it was a function we'd find useful and so we bought it.
If like me you had a simple single oven previously check and double check your measurements carefully. The width and height are pretty standard but depth was slightly longer than my old oven and the height of the back of the oven is almost the full height of the oven at the front. For us that extra height at the back (caused due to the dual fans) created a problem with the gas pipe to the hob above the oven and we had to have the gas pipe moved by 2.5cm to enable the oven to slide into the kitchen unit fully. Aside from that, fitting was fairly straightforward.
As far as using the oven, yes, it does take a little while to get used to which buttons to press but the instruction booklet is helpful enough to mean you can figure out the basics quickly enough. It does seem as though you are using a ridiculous amount of "button" presses to get to where you want to be (7 presses to get the grill on), I'm finding this less irritating the longer I use the oven.
The split oven feature is incredibly useful and I use it nearly every time I use the oven. For a single person it is energy saving and for a couple/family it makes cooking separate meals a doddle in terms of timing. In fact I find this feature so useful I don't think I'll ever want to go back to a single oven or even a conventional double oven. The single oven fitted our turkey beautifully and while the turkey was resting we were able to split the oven and quickly blast the roast tatties while the veggies were being kept warm below which brings me to another use for the split oven... if you are using only half of the oven the other half does heat up a little, enough to warm your plates without having to switch the second half of the oven on at all. Pre-heating is helped by a little "bing" to let you know the correct temperature has been reached.
You get two baking sheets and one wire rack with this oven, as well as the separator. I personally would have preferred another wire rack but have had no issues cooking with the sheets so far, in fact making biscuits/meringues etc is easier as you have two full oven width baking sheets to use giving a lot more space. One of the baking sheets doubles as a grill pan and due to it being full oven width you can cook quite a substantial amount of toast on it. The grill takes a little bit of time to get used to it is so efficient, and we've burnt quite a lot of toast so far, blink and your toast is done once the grill is up to temperature.
Although, as you may be able to tell, I am sold on this oven there are a few minor irritations. As other reviewers have said, you do seem to get an inordinate amount of condensation in the oven when it is in use, to the point that I've had to wipe the inside glass of the door part way through cooking. The timer buzzer to let you know the cooking time is over is VERY quiet, so quiet I keep missing it. The amount of "button" presses I've already touched on and the only other thing is I keep switching the oven off by mistake when I lean against the counter while using the hob and my hip touches the off button. But, like I said, these are minor irritations. The oven cooks beautifully.
So far I've not had to use either of the internal cleaning functions (pyrolytic or steam) so can't comment on them, but given the front exterior is fully glass with no pesky chrome dirt is removed with a simple wipe of a cloth."
