Product Reviews

Pros: Easy to use, Good build quality, Value for money, looks good

"I have only had the oven three weeks or so which is why I haven't completely rated it as that would be unfair. However I can say that I very successfully cooked beautiful Yorkshire Puddings in the top oven yesterday having slow roasted beef in the bottom oven. I have used the auto on/off facility three times already and it worked really successfully and after the first time I did not even need to get the manual out again! I think as another reviewer suggested - it does cook better than your old cooker - which is why my roast potatoes were a bit well done but I think I should have put them on the bottom shelf!!! The first time I tried to cook a full meal I was anxious about losing the third oven shelf that I am used to, but in reality I don't think I ever use the oven and the grill at the same time so the second oven and the ability to run it at a different temperature is probably more useful and was certainly successful for my Easter lunch yesterday. The air flow when you open the door is a bit of a surprise, after three weeks I am used to it - but I just have to remember to remind the children to stand back if they open the oven door for me! As for the hob I don't think my old Cannon had faster rings but this has two each of two sizes and unlike one I used recently I am not left with a ring that is so small it just about fits a milk pan, even the smaller of the rings takes my medium pan beautifully but can go nice and low for a small pan to fit comfortably. I found the whole process of buying a new oven quite stressful and I was so worried about spending a lot of money on something to then find that it was not good enough for the job but so far this has proved to be a really good buy and I am hoping it lasts me another 17 years like my last Cannon."

"Very Disappointing"

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: expensive to run, not as efficient

"It takes about half an hour just to bring the oven up to a mark 6 temp. This is a waste of time and money. It takes longer to cook in the oven than the time suggested in recipes."

"Dodgy Grill"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

Cons: hate the fan grill. just what i didn't want

"Excellent cooker, nice looking, sturdy, proper gas oven but SO disappointed with the grill. I bought a conventional gas cooker because the grills on electric ones are 'dry'. All my gas cookers have had normal grills which don't suck the moisture out of toast but this grill is fan, and makes the toast like biscuits. Why is it a FAN grill? SO disappointed."

"Brilliant Replacement"

Pros: Quiet, Easy to use, Good build quality, Value for money

"We had a Canon cooker which died about four years ago, it had been a good cooker and lasted some12yrs or so. However we had to replace it in a hurry, for reasons you don't need to know, which had to be via a local store with very little choice. We went for one of those stainless steel jobs made by Servis, what a disaster that was! It lasted fours years and we have now gone back to a Canon, and a white one at that. It does what a cooker should....it cooks brilliantly.....bliss!"

Cannon CH60GCIW

There’s a reason that our customers are rapidly converting from electric to gas ovens and hobs and it’s because nothing quite beats it. For unparalleled heat and control over your cooking, the only smart choice is gas. The Cannon CH60GC1W gives you 4 gas burners that are both quick to heat up and effortless to control. If you like your eggs boiled fast or simply want beans on toast then a gas hob is for you.

A 60 litre conventional oven is ideal for pizzas, Sunday roasts, or scrumptious freshly baked cakes. There’s also room to spare for even the largest of families. Innovative stay clean liners burn off any baked on food or grease while the oven is on, so throw away that expensive oven cleaner and hang up those rubber gloves. A built in grill rounds off this gas cooker’s features nicely. Line the grill pan with foil, lay on a fillet of salmon, drizzle with oil and herbs and in a matter of minutes you’ll have juicy grilled fish. Alternatively you can just use the grill for a bacon buttie (whichever works best for you!).

The Cannon CH60GCIW is a must have gas cooker for anyone seriously about creating culinary delights. With 4 burners, a large oven and grill there’s a wealth of flexible options available to you that make day to day use a pleasurable experience.

Isn’t it time you started cooking on gas?

Please Note: This model must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer. It is also LPG convertible if you do not have a gas supply in your home.
