"Really pleased, excellent performance"
Pros: Value for money, Good build quality, looks good, rapid heating
Cons: control logic could be improved
"We've had this 6 months now, so time for a review. No technical issues at all. It is wired for two phases, we've temporarily installed it on a single phase without any issues, though we've not tried using all rings at max!! It will be installed using two phases in the kitchen once the renovation is complete.
It is very powerful, and the heatup time is very quick indeed. We are using cast iron pans and pressed steel woks, and both work very well, better than gas. We have found we don't need the settings stated, and usually use 2 or 3 levels down on the recommended.
It can be a bit noisy when the fans kick in, but no more than an extractor, which you'll probably already have on since the internal fans only come on when it is running at high levels.
The buttons are a bit close to the front rings, and it is counterintuitive to touch something so close to a boiling pan. The surface is always cold, of course, but if the pan is spitting, move it away first.
Also, having to press the ring button, then hold the minus until it switches off is a bit of a pain. I would have preferred having 10 individual buttons (0-9 levels), so just press the ring button and the required level each time.
Overall we are very pleased. It is our first induction hob, and we are impressed with performance. With a better control logic it would be 5 stars all round."
