There are 4 zones on the Hotpoint CRA641DC ceramic hob, each of them a different size to match your various pans. If you’re warming soup for one, you can use the smaller zone to save energy – you won’t have to turn on a huge zone every time. The far left zone even works with two separate pan sizes. You can choose whether to use the inner heating element, or add the extended zone to give you extra power when cooking with a big stock pot.
All 4 zones each come with 9 individual temperatures too, so whether your gently simmering a peppercorn sauce or searing a big juicy steak, you’ll be able to choose just the right heat to suit whatever it is you’re making.
It’s extremely easy to do too, thanks to the touch controls which are clearly laid out on the panel. All it takes is the lightest of touches to conjure up the heat you need, and better still, you won’t have a load of chunky dials in the way. You’re getting total peace of mind too, as all of the controls can be frozen with the child safety lock feature – extremely hand if you’ve got little ones in the kitchen with you.
Once all the cooking is done, you won’t have to spend ages on the cleaning. The entire surface is made from smooth ceramic glass, so any spills can be wiped up quick as a flash. You won’t have to break out an old toothbrush and scrub any fiddly pan supports either. All it takes is a cloth and a little soapy water – it’s as easy as that.
