"Beautiful, efficient machine"
Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, looks good, amazing energy efficiency
"We'd already been won over by the good looks of the Samsung Ecobubble washing machine, and now it's been joined by it's equally attractive sibling, this condenser (heat pump) dryer.
We've just refitted our utility room and this was the final piece, and what a stunner! The big blue door is not only attractive but it's also incredibly practical given how wide it swings open. And it's a good job it's got a large mouth as this dryer gobbles up an impressive 8kg load - so it's fabulous for doing large amounts but will also automatically adjust the cycle length if you have a smaller load.
There's some nifty features - besides it's attractiveness - including the wrinkle prevent which stops major creases from forming so less ironing is required. Or, if you're lazy like us, no ironing......! It's also got a handy child lock to stop little fingers changing settings when you're not looking and it even has a drum light so you can take a look in whilst it's working as well as make sure no solitary socks get left behind at the end of the cycle.
The water collects at the top (where the detergent drawer is on a washer) so there's no grappling about at the bottom of the machine - it also has a useful gauge so you know when it needs emptying. The filter lifts straight out from the front of the drum for easy cleaning. These clever practicalities don't however interfere with the beautiful design of the machine.
We've always avoided using a dryer too much due to how much energy they get through, but this one has a pretty remarkable A++ energy rating making it much more efficient. It also senses if your washing has dried and will stop the programme instead of it continuing until the allocated time is up, wasting your electricity.
In terms of how quiet it is, I'd say it's a little below average for a tumble dryer, but you are aware it's there and working. I'm not sure how much silent it could get to be honest. We love the tune it plays, but if it bugs you you can disable it.
It was incredibly easy to set up. Once we'd finished stroking it and telling it how pretty is was, we just plugged it in and off we went, but it does also have a hose attachment if you would rather drain the water away than collect it. A friend remarked on how much bigger it is than her dyer but actually, it's just the drum that's bigger. The dimensions of the machine itself is standard - so, a clever optical illusion thanks to the massive crystal blue door.
Overall, I can't actually think of a single negative. It's straightforward to use, economical, efficient and therefore highly recommended. Oh, and it's sooooo attractive. I may have already mentioned that?!"
See it action!
