Of the 12 programmes, you’ve got all the usual suspects like Cottons, Synthetics and Delicates, and then there are some specialised options to help you tailor your wash to your family’s needs. The Allergy Care button is perfect if you’ve got anyone in the house with eczema or sensitive skin. It adds in a few extra rinses after the main wash to get rid of every trace of washing powder, as well as things like dust mites and pet hair.
If ironing is your least favourite thing to do, there’s an option to help you cut your pile in half. The Fast Iron button takes the agitation of the wash (the drum movements) down a notch, so your clothes aren’t jostled about as much. The means less creasing and less ironing for you at the end of it.
The Delay Start is another button you’ll love. This lets you put your wash off for up to 23 hours. It’s exactly what you need if you like to get the laundry done while you’re out at work, or perhaps you’ve got cheaper electricity at night and you want to get most of the washing done then.
And to help you work around the British weather, you’ve got the rinse and spin options as extras at the bottom of the dial. If you’ve pegged the washing out and the heavens have opened, just pop everything back into the drum and do a quick rinse and spin to get the rain water off – there’s just no need to do a full wash again.
