Belling FSE60DOP Freestanding Electric Cooker - Stainless Steel

Faster cooking with Fan ovens. There’s over 90 litres of cooking space inside the Belling FSE60DOP, so it’s brilliant if you regularly cook for 4 or 5 people. Thanks to the Fan cooking element, you’ll be able to prepare your meals faster, as you get very even temperatures across the entire oven space. Plus, you’re getting extra oven settings like Slow Cooking and Defrost to give you an added helping hand in the kitchen.

"New cooker in a new kitchen"

Pros: Quiet, Easy to use, Value for money, looks good

Cons: none

"Can only fault the wobbly hob,and am waiting for an engineer to sort this out.

Otherwise: overall a very good cooker.

It looks good, and does what it says on the tin.

A doddle to use,and the heating control is excellent.

We had a Belling Cooker for 20 years without a problem, and hope we get another 20 from this one too."

"Dissappointed"

Pros: Value for money, Quiet, looks good

Cons: poor quality

"Having used Belling cookers since 1960 and seeking a replacement to my Belling Format 653H, I found my newly purchased FSE60DOP a dissappointment. Certainly not to the standard that I have experienced from Belling. Build and design quality mediocre to poor. Not a true 600mm slot-in (projecting screws); lettering/figures around controls difficult to see; a rattling vent shield at the rear (I glued with epoxy glue); levelling of the feet awkward (I miss my rear casters with levelling from the front). Good looking and probably value for money and finally, questionable robustness of shelving - I would willingly have paid more for my past luxuries of the 653H."

"too many problems"

Pros: looks good

Cons: poor quality

"Bought this to replace belling cooker that I have been very happy with. This is a disappointing purchase. Screws protruding from the sides make it wider than the 60cm - had to remove them to get it to fit in 60cm gap. Also the design of the control panel makes it difficult to fully open kitchen cabinet doors (not a problem with the old model). The grill pan warped badly on first use. I contacted belling who told me I had to expect some level of warping putting direct heat on the grill pan (!) but would issue a replacement. No apology made to me for the inconvenience. I agree with other reviews about the control panel being difficult to see. I have always bought belling cookers, never had a problem before, but now think they build an inferior product."

"Not a bad purchase"

Pros: Easy to use, looks good

"Generally a good oven, was a bit wary of getting electric but actually really like it now. Did have to have engineer round as the back of the oven kept vibrating - he did fix it but it still makes slight noise when first warming up - apparently it is a design fault in some of the models - i just put up with it."

"Smart Looking Cooker"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Quiet, looks good

"Looks more expensive than similarly priced cookers but a couple of small niggles, it could do with a plinth beneath the front of the cooker as there's quite a gap when it's adjusted to match worktop height & there are two screws either side of the hob protruding beyond the 600mm which gouged our worktop when we fitted it in (we removed them to enable fitting,as otherwise it wouldn't go in), our old cooker had flush fitting screws, also wheels at the back which the new one doesn't have.

No warning light to indicate hotplate still hot when just turned off & numbers impossible to read without glasses.

I'm also a little concerned that self clean oven linings are not fitted nor available as an extra, which they were on my old cooker.

Other than these criticisms it performs quite well & looks rather classy."

Belling FSE60DOP

With enough oven space to cook 4 large baking trays of food at once, the main oven inside the Belling FSE60DOP is excellent if you’re always preparing meals for lots of people. There’s 59 litres of space to put to use, with a further 35 litres in the top oven. The extra room is brilliant if you want to make a separate dish to what’s in the main oven, or equally good for heating small portions without wasting energy using the larger space.

You’re getting Fan cooking, which is excellent for saving you time in the kitchen. It gives you such an even temperature across the whole space that you’ll be able to cook your food around 10 minutes quicker than in a normal oven. It also means you get exactly the same heat in every part of the oven, so don’t need to turn your food or move trays around half way through.

Fantastic for saving you time in the kitchen, you’re also getting a Defrost setting which uses room temperature air to thaw out your frozen food. It’ll be ready to cook three times faster than leaving it on the side, and it’s much more hygienic too. There’s a brilliant Slow Cooking function too, which uses very low temperatures to keep your cuts of meat as juicy and tender as possible. Pop in a casserole or stew and in a few hours you’ll have some wonderfully deep flavours coming together.

There’s even a Programmable Timer, so the oven cooks your meals while you’re busy doing other things – you can even set it before you head out to work. Set the oven to turn on in 2 hours time, so when you’re home you’ll have dinner ready and prepared without the usual waiting time.
