Hotpoint FZFM151G Freestanding Upright Freezer - Graphite

Rated A+ for energy efficiency. Because of its impressive energy rating, the Hotpoint FZFM151G will cost just £2.66 a month to run. That’s loads cheaper than an older, less efficient model, so you can spend more money filling it up. It has a capacity of 154 litres, which is plenty for a large family’s weekly frozen food shop. The whole thing is completely frost free too. This means there is a constant flow of cold air through the appliance, so there won’t be any build up of ice. You won’t have to do a thing.

Product Reviews

"Good value"

Pros: Quiet, Easy to use, Value for money

Cons: design of the drawer 'stop' - see review, inability to see controls &lights with door shut

"I'm not perhaps the best person to review a modern freezer, as this replaces a a 25-year-old one, and I don't expect us to be so fortunate this time.

First impressions are great - I would certainly call it quiet, and the clear-fronted drawers are a great improvement on what we had before.

Just 2 complaints: Why have controls and warning lights arranged so you can only see them with the door open? and secondly, and perhaps more seriously, the 'stop' on the top drawer in particular is a design disaster. When I opened the freezer for the first time, to have a look, before I had even plugged it in, I pulled the drawer out and it smashed on the floor. The manufacturer gave us a new one as a goodwill gesture, but it won't be too long before it happens again."

"Does the job and looks goods"

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: Noisy

"Although dimensions seemed big, the reality was it was smaller than expected. Its a nice looking freezer but you know its on - I initally thought someone was using the microwave! I managed to crack one of the drawers within a few days of having it but that was my fault as I was trying to jam too much in as usual. But it speaks about the brittleness of the plastic used that it could happen. Still it does the job and doesn't need defrosting - a big bonus."

"a fair freezer"

Pros: Good build quality, Value for money

"To be honest it's in the utility room, so I've no idea if it's quiet enough to live with in the kitchen.

It comes with 2 ice trays, but they don't both fit into the freezer tray compartment side by side - they're about a centimeter too wide, which is a bit rubbish.

All the drawers move freely and easily and there's a goodly amount of space.

It does the job of standing there, looking big and gray, keeping the frozen food frozen remarkably well.

What more could you want from a freezer?"

"Very Good BuyV"

Pros: Quiet, Easy to use, Good build quality, Value for money, alarm door, good storage

Cons: ice trays does not fit

"Very quiet and features are good. Very attactive and blend into the room nicely. Like the alarm that let you know if the door is left open to long.

The only disappointed part is the ice department as the 2 trays does not fit in any format."

"A Few Points to Watch"

Cons: temperature control

"Generally a good product but could be improved: controls better on outside, recommended temperature is much too high, arrived with scuffed paintwork, instructions not at all clear."

Hotpoint FZFM151G Freezer

In a contemporary graphite colour, the Hotpoint FZFM151G freezer will look great in a modern kitchen. It has 154 litres of space, which is plenty for a large family’s weekly frozen food shop. It’s spread across 5 drawers, so you can easily separate your frozen chips from your tubs of ice cream, and it even has a small ice cube tray at the top. Perfect if you’re making a pitcher of juice on a hot day.

For convenience, the freezer is entirely frost free. This means that there is a constant flow of cold air throughout the inside of the appliance, so there won’t be a chance for ice to build up. There’ll be no more messy defrosting either.

As this model has been rated A+ on the energy efficiency scale, it’ll cost an average of just £2.66 a month to run. That’s a lot cheaper than an older, less efficient model, so it’s ideal if you’re upgrading.
