Bosch GSN36VL30G Freezer
The Bosch GSN36VL30G holds an impressive 237 litres, which is more than enough space for the food of 4-5 people. It’s got a sleek look about it; the inox finish is a shade of silver designed to have the same shine as stainless steel. It is really easy to open too, as the handle will gently open the seal around the door so you won’t need to pull at it. The door is hinged on the right, but if that doesn’t suit your kitchen it can be reversed in a few simple steps.
This freezer has received an efficient A++ rating, which is fantastic considering how big it is. It costs just over £2 a month to have it running day and night; that’s really low for any upright freezer. It will save you a bit of money on your electricity bill too if you’re replacing a much older model.
There’s plenty of storage with 7 compartments. The top 2 have drop down fronts, and the remaining 5 are drawers that you can pull out and easily fill. These include 2 Big Box compartments - larger freezer drawers designed to fit bigger items of food (like a frozen chicken).
It’s got some great features too. Active Cooling uses an interior fan to keep the cold air circulating, so all food will freeze at the same temperature. It also stops ice from settling and forming, keeping it fully frost free so you won’t have to defrost it. You get the handy superFreeze function as well, which is great for new food. It will lower the freezer temperature so food will freeze more quickly – this helps food to lock in nutrients and keep its freshness.
