"Good basic no frills oven"
Fairly quiet, no rattling when in use (no measure of noise level given).
Solid door handle (metal) design that makes it easy to open the door even with a gloved hand that can fit right around it.
Pleasing symmetrical design with large clear clock/display and controls.
Gutter arrangement in front of floor of oven to catch accidental runs and crumbs.
Controls are largely intuitive, which is just as well because the manual is not the clearest of literary works.
Quick release inner door to assist cleaning.
Manual available to download from Beko, so that should answer most queries before purchase.
Two year manufacturer's warranty. (Beko have no online facility to register two year products.)
There is no separate and removable head lining to assist cleaning. You must clean the enamelled lining between the grill element and it's supporting metalwork.
The interior of the vent exhaust (above the door) shows some unpainted bright steel that could have been painted. However unless your eyes are at this level you will probably not notice it.
The single model number on the manual cover implies it is dedicated to this model but the contents say otherwise. I think a manual should be either dedicated or clearly show which model is being described/explained or excluded so that you know exactly what the product can/not do. That said, it is above average.
The shelves pull straight out (ie no safety stop), so careful not to pull too far forward when checking that roast.
The electrical connection box is rather small and made wiring fiddly, otherwise straightforward.
The manual doesn't say what type of replacement bulb is required - I like to keep a spare, and I shall have to inspect the one fitted to determine the cap type.
The timer audible warning needs more volume, especially if your kitchen is enclosed with good solid walls and doors and you do not stay in the kitchen.
Only two fixing points are provided (upper) and two more near the bottom would have made for a more workmanlike installation for just the price of two woodscrews.
The control panel is white painted metal and I suspect heat from the oven will discolour it in time.
No conventional or traditional oven, which you can probably do without anyway. The Beko display does actually show this oven to have a conventional oven, but that is not the case.
Both conventional and fan grill provided.
Contrary to what the expert reviewer says, this oven does fit into an unmodified standard built-in unit, don't take my word, check the size for yourself in the manual down-loadable from Beko.
A good, simple basic fan oven and grill with cooking timer and alarm. This is reflected in the sensible price I paid. No fancy programs that are unlikely to be used and we can live with the Cons listed above.
The only thing on my wish list that this oven does not have is touch controls - but then not many white single ovens are available at any price with touch controls. Even the careful user will make finger marks and touch controls are so much easier to clean having no recesses and dirt traps.
Finally and above all, she who must be obeyed says she likes this oven and it produces good results."
