"Decent vacuum cleaner"
Pros: Value for money, Good build quality, Quiet, great suction/cleaning
Cons: less manoeuvrable than modern uprights, requires bags
"After having tried to repair our failing Dyson we finally took the decision to buy a replacement.
The Dyson has served us well after 7 years of abuse (with plenty of house refurbishment to contend with), but I felt that a change in brand was in order - believe me, the wife took a bit of convincing.
Immediate impression is that the Miele is a quality product and will outlast it's predecessor. The suction is great (we generally run it at Max-1) and feel that it is comparable (if not better than the Dyson). Oh, and its sooo much quieter!
It's not as manoeuvrable as the Dyson (we had an upright and were very tempted by the new 'ball' versions). However it's long hose allows you to get to most places pretty easily and it handles stairs much easier.
The wife preferred the bagless chamber - as she could visibly see the dirt being collected, however I feel that the Miele cleans much better as you have many more layers of filtration to catch the dirt.
All things considered, we would happily recommend this product."
