Hotpoint Ultima SDD910X Freestanding Slimline Dishwasher - Stainless Steel

The dishes done in 25 minutes. With its Speed25 setting, the SDD910X will have your breakfast bowls clean and ready to be put away before you have to leave for work. At 45cm wide, it’s not the biggest on the market, but can hold loads – 10 plates, bowls, side plates, glasses and 10 lots of cutlery too. A huge amount for a slimline dishwasher. Each cycle uses just 11p worth of energy, so it certainly won’t cost a fortune to run.

Product Reviews

"Unimpressed"

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: poor quality

"We had only used the dishwasher about 20 times when it stopped early on in the cycle and displayed a fault code. Hotpoint were contacted, told the fault code and an engineer sent. He was unable to do the repair as he did not have the necessary parts with him (despite me telling the call centre what the fault code was). As a result, a second visit necessitating being at home all day again, is required. I have taken out a further year's breakdown insurance as I suspect we have a duff model. I would not recommend this machine to anyone>"

"Hotpoint slimline dishwasher"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good, second hotpoint dishwasher

Cons: none

"Really like the finish, looks good in the kitchen. Last slimline Hotpoint dishwasher which this has replaced was 22 years old although the new one is much lighter - wondered if it will last as long but we will see? Overall appears to be fine, good capacity, easy to use, the finish is great. Very, very pleased with the machine."

"Just brilliant"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good, takes large plates

Cons: none

"Ignore any other reviews that say the dishwasher won't fit large plates. There are clips on the side of the top tray that you simply squeeze and pull up and ta-da, the top rack is higher and you're able to fit in ginormous 12" plates. Well, we are.

This dishwasher is a great style, the buttons are a tad easy to press when closing the dishwasher if you're a bit clumsy but that's no big deal because you have to press start before it goes.

There is an electrical box near the end of the hose that you connect to your water pipe so it's worth being aware that you need a bit of clearance where you screw the end of the hose onto the pipe. I think it's the flood protection part.

Some of the reviews say that the dishwasher doesn't dry very well on the speed cycle and this is true. Mostly because in a 35 minute cycle there's surely no time for drying. However, the water used is so hot that if you open the dishwasher immediately when the cycle ends and pull the racks out for a couple of minutes the items inside barely need a quick wipe for them to be fully dry.

Anyway, it's a great dishwasher, takes a lot of items, and we can't find any faults with it at all!"

"Good purchase"

Pros: Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

"Bought to replace previous slimline machine after kitchen refurb. Slightly down on capacity from previous, still getting used to best way to load to use to best capacity. Everything else an improvement. Very pleased overall."

"Hotpoint SDD910X"

Pros: Value for money, Quiet

Cons: none

"slim line dishwasher. bought it a month ago as a replacement. Easy to use, though I personally do not like the single button used to cycle through the programmes. Very quite in operation, gets everything clean and quite dry. No complaints really, just does what it is supposed to do.

Cheap and cheerful is my best description."

Hotpoint SDD910X

With its stainless steel exterior, the SDD910X will match most modern kitchens. There aren’t any clunky dials or knobs sticking out so it’ll sit flush with your other appliances and kitchen units. And because it’s so slim, it’s ideal for smaller kitchens or tight corners that don’t have quite enough room for a standard size dishwasher.

There are lots of programmes to choose from for everything from lipstick-marked glasses, to a cheese-baked pasta dish. The Intensive wash is perfect for really dirty pots because it uses searing hot water to cut through the grease – you certainly won’t have to soak your pots beforehand.

For those who don’t mind taking their time, the eco setting can make a huge difference to your energy and water bills. This may take a little longer, but you get the same fantastic results and you’ll save around 20% in energy costs.

And if you like to get the dishes done while you’re out at work, there’s a Delay Timer that lets you put any wash on hold for up to 24 hours. It’s just what you need if you get cheaper electricity at night.
