Bosch Logixx SPS59L12GB Freestanding Slimline Dishwasher - White

A really thorough clean. The Bosch SPS59L12GB slimline 45cm dishwasher comes with 10 place settings of space. So you’ll fit 10 sets of cutlery, plates, dishes and glasses in one go. It’s really easy to create room for larger dishes too thanks to Rackmatic, which lets you adjust the height of the top basket. The Duo Power spray arm means every corner gets a thorough clean, and EcoSilence motor makes sure your dishes won't disturb you either. A noise level of just 44dB makes the SPS59L12GB one of the quietest dishwashers on the market.

Product Reviews

"Not overly excited but does the job"

Pros: Easy to use, Quiet

Cons: Expensive

"My last Bosch slimline dishwasher broke after 11 years use, so I had to buy a new one. Happy with the old Bosch I went for the same make but an obviously newer model. Was originally going to go for the cheaper version, but two reviews I read said it didn't dry the dishes, so I opted for the more expensive version in the hope it would dry better. Was very disappointed when, on my first load, everything was still covered in water. So the second time I used it I chose the 'intensive dry' function and it dried perfectly. On 3rd use I forgot to set the dry function, but it dried perfectly and has done ever since, so I'm assuming the first wash was just a glitch.

This model has a cutlery tray and personally I prefer a basket. Every single wash there is at least one item of cutlery which is still dirty, and this didn't happen on my old model with a basket. Plus, it takes up room at the top of the machine, which means I can't put very tall glasses in the top basket, which I could in my old machine. There were also no instructions on the best way to load the tray, so it's been a learning curve.

There were also far too many extras in this machine (eg. glass racks) - it's a slimline and they took up so much room I couldn't get as much crockery in as I wanted, so I removed 2 of them and folded the rest out of the way.

I also had no idea what the grey plastic tab was on the lid of the machine, and only discovered days later it was the child door lock (there was a poor diagram on the inside back cover of the instruction book, but only if you skipped past 4 blank pages at the end of the booklet).

My biggest gripe though was that this model came with a huge plastic plug on the water supply hose, which my old model didn't have. This meant there wasn't enough room to plug it onto my water inlet hose under the sink, and I had to pay a plumber to sort it out.

Saying all that, it gets my dishes clean but doesn't function any better than my old 11 year old Bosch, when I assumed things would have moved on especially at this price. The only advantage is it's very quiet and the controls are really easy to use."

"An ok buy"

Pros: Easy to use, Quiet, looks good, good range of programmes

Cons: Expensive, doesnt clean as well as our old one

"Not as good as our old Bosch dishwasher which lasted 15 years, which I doubt this one will. It doesn't perform badly, but no matter how we try it doesn't get stuff as clean as the old one did. The cutlery drawer is especially bad at leaving things dirty."

"great so far"

Pros: Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

"have only used a few times so far - separate cutlery tray at the top, good choice of programs and low noise. Slightly more expensive than some other slimline dishwashers but our last dishwasher was a siemans and than lasted more than 10 years. Only slight downside is the additional cutlery drawer restricts the height of the top basket and if it's lowered the same issue then applies to the bottom tray."

"very good value"

"This machine was to replace a full size model, so it seems a bit fiddley to fill after the old one. However it cleans pefrectly every time and is so quiet . The display and control pannel are clear and easy to use. It fits into the smaller kitchen beautifuly.

All things considered a very good buy.

Perfect for a couple."

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet

Cons: limited space for washing large items

"After debating whether to get a dishwasher or not for a few years, I decided to go for it,

On first use I was impressed by how clean things came out especially cutlery, which now shine!

I only have room for a slimline model, and decided to go for this Bosch as it has a cutlery drawer, rather than using a caddy that wastes space in the main baskets. This means I can get up to 2 saucepans as well as 3 0r 4 plates and dishes. I'd still advise on getting a full size machine, if you have the space, as it will of course be more flexible, but on the whole this is a good compromise.

Wash results so far have been excellent, and the dishwasher is very quiet. I do find the programme times a bit long, but have not had a dishwasher before, so have nothing to compare with.

All in all I'm pleased with my purchase, as my title would suggest."

Bosch Logixx SPS59L12GB

The Logixx SPS59L12GB packs Bosch's most innovative space maximising features into a 45cm wide unit. Even if you don’t have space in your kitchen for a full size model, you can still easily wash your large pots and pans and long cooking utensils. It’s also one of the quietest models on the market. So if you have open plan living, you won’t be disturbed by its 44dB noise level – that’s barely louder than a whisper.

You’ll save a few pounds with the SPS59L12GB too. It has an A + energy rating – making it one of the most efficient dishwashers around. You also get a 24 hour delay timer that lets you run it when you want. Set it to go at night when electricity is cheaper – or just at a time that suits you.

Inside the dishwasher you have space for 10 sets of cutlery, dishes, saucers and glasses. And it has Vario drawer at the top of the machine, which replaces the cutlery basket. This helps free up even more space in the bottom basket, but still allows room for you to load long-stem wine glasses in the upper basket.

In addition, this slimline model has Rackmatic. It makes it very simple to alter the height of the upper basket between three levels so you can fit tall dishes in the bottom basket. And the SPS59L12GB has VarioFlex that lets you adjust the racks – ideal for fitting in bulkier pots and pans.

The reliable SPS59L12GB is designed to work in conjunction with your detergent tablets, using its Dosage Assist feature. It helps utilise your dishwasher powder to give outstanding results with every cycle. You'll get a much better clean without having a clump of detergent left in the bottom of the dishwasher.

You'll find a hygiene extra option too, which uses high temperatures for sterilising chopping boards and baby bottles. A speed perfect function to reduce the running time by up to 50%, and an intensive zone, tailored to clean a mixed load. That means you can wash burnt-on pots and pans in the lower basket together with lightly soiled utensils in the upper basket. There's a 29 minute quick wash too, if you're really in a rush.
