A very impressive total of 187 litres across 4 individual oven spaces makes the Stoves STERLING1100EI ideal for big family or households with lots of people. It’s more than double the capacity of a standard cooker and almost double the width too.
You’ve got the choice of fan and conventional heating, depending on which oven you use. Things like joints of meat, crumbles and shepherd’s pie are very well suited to conventional settings – the oven gets hotter at the top, giving you a traditional golden brown finish. Fan cooking lets you prepare your meals far quicker than in other ovens. Your food cooks at the same rate from all sides, making it really useful for chicken or fish – anything you need to make absolutely sure is cooked through.
The bottom right oven is actually a slow cooker, using low temperatures of 50°C-80°C to keep your cuts of meat as tender as possible. It lets you stew your dishes for much longer, deepening the flavours and keep all the nutrients in your food too; rather than just cooking them all away.
The hob gives you 5 separate induction zones, which use magnets rather than the normal coiled heating element. It uses less electricity, making your cooking much more efficient and helps you save time as it heats up much faster too. The magnets mean that only your pan gets not, not the surface of the hob. It’ll be cool to the touch which means you won’t have to worry about accidentally touching or putting things down on the hot glass.
You’ll save quite a bit of money with this model too, as it only needs hardwiring into a 32amp power supply. This means you won’t have to pay an electrician a fortune to upgrade to a 45amp supply, as you’d have to do with the majority of induction range cookers.
