If you’ve been cooking for a long period of time and the glass top does get hot, the STERLING1100EI range cooker has residual heat indicators. It’s a really handy safety feature that lets you, and anyone else in your home, know that the surface is still hot to touch. With the induction zones and controls all being flat, it also means that as well as looking sleek and, well...sexy, it’s super easy to clean without any pan supports or control knobs getting in the way.
The main 54 litre oven is multifunctional. Heating elements at the top and bottom of the oven mean you get the perfect temperature and heat source for whatever you’re cooking. Top heat is great for beautifully browned pies or cakes. The bottom heat is ideal for getting a really crispy base on your pizzas as well as giving you a traditional conventional heat. Put your roast on one shelf, your veggies and Yorkshire puddings on another and take advantage of the different levels of heat in one oven.
The second oven gives you fanned heat so the heating element surrounds a fan at the back. This is much faster than other conventional ovens, cutting out the need to pre heat as well as reducing your cooking times. Shorter cooking times mean you use less energy and lower temperatures so it’s much more efficient. The fan also means heat is evenly distributed throughout the entire oven so it’s perfect if you’re batch baking, want an evenly cooked cake or simply don’t want to have to keep opening the oven and turning your food every five minutes. The fan also means you have a really handy defrost function. The defrost setting on the fan circulates room temperature air around your food, defrosting it three times faster than simply leaving it out on the counter. It’s also more hygienic than just leaving food out.
Thirdly there’s a slow cook oven that uses low powered heat. It’s perfect for casseroles or succulent stews with meat that just falls off the bone. As well as giving you the ideal place to prove dough, you can also use this oven to keep plates and food warm until your dinner is ready to serve.
The dual circuit grill lets you select either the entire width of the grill or half for smaller portions, you can create the perfectly grilled cheese on toast for yourself, or enough rashers to feed the entire family on Sunday morning.
All four ovens are rated A so they’re really energy efficient. And to save you the hassle of having to scrub your ovens they’re all coated in an easy clean enamel which makes it harder for food and grease to stick to. Just give them a wipe with a sponge without the need for expensive or harsh chemical cleaners.
What’s also brilliant about this model is that it only needs hardwiring into a 32amp power supply. You won’t have to pay an electrician hundreds of pounds to upgrade to a 45amp supply as you’d have to do with most other induction range cookers.
