At 90cm wide the Stoves STERLING900E is spot on if a standard cooker just isn’t enough. There are 3 separate spaces, with a total of 151 litres between them – plus you’re getting fan cooking, multifunctional options of fan and conventional in one, and a separate space for grilling too. It’s got more than enough to look after a large household.
Fan cooking is excellent for saving time in the kitchen, as the even heat lets you reduce your cooking times by around 10 minutes. You can even use lower temperatures to save money on electricity, and still get the same great results. Conventional heat might not be as quick, though it’s much better for more traditional, homemade dishes. Cottage pie, peach crumbles and roasts – anything with that rustic feel turns out brilliantly, as the top of the oven gets a little hotter than the bottom for that golden finish.
Once you’re done cooking, you won’t have to spend ages cleaning your ovens out. All three spaces are lined with Stoves’ Pristine enamel. It stops grubby bits sticking to the sides, so when it comes to cleaning you’ll just need some soapy water and a cloth. You won’t have to spend loads of money on expensive cleaning sprays either.
It’s the same with the ceramic hob, as the smooth glass surround is much easier to keep clean than gas hobs. There aren’t any fiddly bits to work around for a start. There are 5 individual heat zones to put to use, so you’ll have loads of room for your pans. It comes in very handy if you prefer a little more elbow room while cooking, compared to normal 60cm wide model.
