Product Reviews

"Simple, no nonsense yet elegant"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

"We looked at a lot of gas hobs and decided on this simple, stainless steel version from Neff. For a gas The hob is unfussy and really easy to fit and use. The hobs are a good balance of sizes from a large fierce ring, through two medium to a small for slow simmering. I would have prefereed the small ring to be at the back but will get used to the layout. . Built in gas cut-outs ensure you can't leave the gas on without it being lit. The knobs have a gap below so you can clean around them easily - a problem that we had with our old hob. The pan supports are not as visually dominant as some of the cast iron ones, which look very clunky. Overall very pleased with the product."

"Brilliant"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, looks good

"We have a Neff oven that is marvellous, so the next step was the hob, we chose this model as it ticked all the boxes for us. It is well thought out and a doddle to use with the usual Neff effiencency. Go Get One!"

"Just what I wanted!"

Pros: Value for money, Good build quality, looks good

"I was almost put off this hob by the somewhat patronising video - how great a chef do you have to be to operate a gas hob? However, although I am a reasonable cook I did not want a wok burner. Neither did I want cast iron supports, which can be heavy and difficult to clean. This hob has enamel pan supports, which are so much easier to keep clean and will go in the dishwasher, if necessary. The pans will also slide easily from one burner to another. The hob fitted exactly into the space where my old AEG had been and the controls on the right hand side were also what I was used to. However, it did take a while for me to become familiar with the way the controls operate but once I had mastered the technique, I was OK. The gas tone was different from my AEG but we are now used to that. The hobs themselves are light and can be fiddly to put back into the right place but the big bonus is that this hob is so easy to keep clean. I use a quick spray of Dettol surface cleaner, followed by a wipe with a damp cloth and it looks as good as new. I did consider buying a Bosch or a Smeg but was put off by the comments on scratching. This hob suits my needs perfectly."

"Good quality product"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Good build quality, looks good

"Easy to install, although a registered gas fitter is required for 10 minutes.

Solid build and very easy to clean, well it doesn't seem to take my dear wife very long to make it look like new again after I've made a mess.

Very happy with the layout and ignites the gas quickly with the usual safety features."

"poor purchase"

Pros: looks good

Cons: poor quality, Expensive

"Unlike my last stainless steel hob, this one is very difficult to keep looking good.....the dirt comes off easily enough but the whole surface is then covered in water marks...I have to completely dry the hob with kitchen paper to restore its looks.

Also, when putting a burner on, you have to keep the knob depressed for at least four seconds after the gas has lit and meanwhile it continues to spark...if you dont, the gas cuts out."

"Good purchase"

Pros: Value for money, Easy to use, Quiet, looks good

"The product itself is well built and fairly easy to clean. One minor drawback is that the knobs do not come off and it may be possible for grease to get in between the control knobs and the stainless steel surface over time. The pan supports are light ( I personally would have preferred heavier), yet still sturdy and fit for purpose. Having inquisitive children, I paricularly value the safety system which prevents the flow of gas if the burners accidentally switch off, also the same safety system prevents the flow of gas if the control knob is on and the burners are not ignited. This was an issue with my old gas hob. It is hidden features like this, the Neff brand name and the quality which, in my view, justifes the additional purchase cost over cheaper rivals.

I must also add that the customer service was exemplary having been kept fuly informed of delivery. I also received an after sales personal call to check that I was happy with the purchase and the service provided. The company just went the extra mile to satisy the customer."

Neff T21S31

When oven ready meals have lost their charm and blasting things in the microwave just doesn’t do it for you anymore, it’s time to return to some real cooking. Enter the Neff T21S31 gas hob.

In stainless steel it’s a true focal point, no matter what kind of kitchen you’re working with. The splash of modernity not only adds an extra voice to your space, but you’d be amazed at how much keener you are to whip the frying pans out and get flambéing.

Neff are renowned for top quality, but the looks on the T21S31 are equally as impressive. The contrast between the stainless steel and the colour co-ordinated controls match the pan supports wonderfully.

The black enamel supports themselves will give you a good strong base to work from, and because they’re tremendously easy to clean you won’t have to spend an age clearing up after getting carried away in your culinary endeavours.

Gas hobs give you perfect cooking precision, as your pans react instantly to the type of heat you’re using on them. With the T21S31 you’ve got 4 separate zones, each with varying intensities, which can be suited to plenty of different jobs. The smaller burner is great for delicate sauces, while the larger burner can get you up to a rolling boil in no time at all.
