Pros: Good build quality, Quiet, looks good, powerful motor, sharp blades
Cons: Complicated, lack of clear operatingt instructions
"First off, let's be positive about some of the very attractive features of this blender. first off it looks the part, sleek black and brushed steel make for a very sexy piece of kit, the motor is a monster and quickly pulverizes ice (always a good test) for example for those coffee house style blended coffees, it's quiet and doesn't jump around.
When it comes to blending veg for example it smashes through the task in mere seconds. The unique feature of this blender however is the steam feature.
The instructions, such as they are, are a bit on the sparse side and if i am to believe the booklet i must cook every thing first before blending and steaming into a lovely soup. i found this not to be the case, chuck it all in, steam and blend and you get a great soup.
The steam only function works well but as i was cooking for 4 i found the size to be a bit limiting, but it is ideal for say asparagus because it keeps it upright and stop it going soggy.
As for cleaning, as with any blender cleaning under the blades can be fiddly, especially as they are nice and sharp, they really slice rather than pounding the food into submission.
All in all a really nice blender with a novelty feature, ideal for people cooking for one or two, but if you need more than that stick to a big steamer and just use the blend feature.
My main moan is the lack of clarity in the instruction booklet, i work as a chef and i use blenders of various makes everyday and even i found the how to use the steam and blend feature a bit of a challenge."
