"Enormous capacity and feature-packed"
Pros: Easy to use, Good build quality, Quiet, versatility
Cons: Complicated, Expensive
"Make no mistake - this is a big, big washing machine. The 12kg drum is even more massive than it sounds! It's large and sturdy, but not so big that it takes over the space; even in our small kitchen it fits well and the size isn't too distracting.
The controls on the machine are intuitive to use. This big shiny knob in the middle is used to select a program, with the selected program clearly indicated by the colour LCD screen. There are an impressive fourteen different preset wash cycles to choose from, including everything from a basic cotton wash to settings for bulky waterproofs and even special deodorizing programs, using only hot air to freshen up clothes.
Seemingly missing from the list was the kind of one-size-fits all mixed fabric wash that I have often used on other machines. But what it lacks there it more than makes up for by including the ability to customise every aspect of a wash in detail using the LCD screen and button controls. You can alter the temperature, rinse cycles, spin speed and drying time for each type of cycle. While you make changes to your wash the screen displays exactly how long it will take, as well as how much water and energy it will use.
Not only this, but you can also save your favorite wash as a preset, which is really handy once you settle on the type of wash you'll be doing the most. Once this is set up, it just takes a couple of button presses to set a wash going.
The machine is also unbelievably quiet; when running a basic wash cycle it was just about completely silent - the only sound I could hear was the clothes moving about inside the drum.
The drying performance of the machine is good - I would say it probably falls a little short of actually having a dedicated tumble dryer, but for a combo washer dryer, it does a good job of drying out most clothes, especially if you make sure not to put any bulky towels or jeans on a wash cycle with thinner shirts and tshirts. The cotton dry cycle is the one I've had most success with so far - it takes about 6 hours, so I've been letting it run overnight and finding that the clothes are pretty much completely dry in the morning.
Overall I've really enjoyed using it so far. Highly recommended."
