With an 8kg drum capable of washing the equivalent of 40 T-shirts in one go, the Hotpoint WDPG8640K is extremely well suited to a large household of 4 or 5 people. You can dry 6kg of clothes too, which works out to 18 wet T-shirts. Drying loads are often a little smaller, as your fabrics need extra room to dry efficiently. Thanks to the extra large porthole, getting things in and out of the drum is much easier than smaller models too.
There’s an extremely useful ready to wear cycle, which lets you wash and dry in one go. It’s best used with smaller loads of around 4kg – that’s 12 T-shirts to you and me – and you won’t have to pop back to the machine between the two phases. It’s good to know your machine can take care of everything, without you having to be there.
You’re getting a half load function that automatically cuts down on your water and energy use, depending on the size of your wash. It couldn’t be easier to make savings on your wash cost, as you won’t have to use any special options; it does it all for you.
To save even more, you have an eco wash too. It uses short bursts of energy over a longer wash period in order to cut down on your electricity bills. Your clothes come out just as clean as on any other cycle, you’re just getting it at a fraction of the price.
