The ZHC6239X draws in air at a maximum 395 m³/h, which is ideal for medium sized kitchens. There are 3 venting speeds for different cooking demands. If you’re rustling up a spicy stir fry, then the highest venting speed is great. While if you’re simmering soup, the lowest setting will easily handle the steam.
It’s quite standard in size at 59.8cm, and a hob of a similar width would be best for the ideal extraction. There’s also a grease filter with this model that absorbs oily odours from the air – protecting your wallpaper from stains. Great after a Sunday morning fry-up.
With a stainless steel and glass design, the ZHC6239X would look fantastic in most kitchens. It also comes with 2 halogen lights which are brighter and longer lasting than standard bulbs. They’re also handy for a bit of mood lighting for those dark winter nights.
The 2 push button controls are really easy to use and give you manual control over the speeds. Also, with a 61dB noise level - the same as a normal conversation – this model would be great for open plan living. It won’t intrude while you relax in front of the TV.
You can remove air outside by using a vent – you will need a ducting kit to do this. If you live in a flat or don’t have access to an outside vent, then you can re-circulate clean air inside. You’ll require an additional carbon filter for this.
