The BDVN7200WB is the complete 5.1 home entertainment package. Five speakers and a powerful subwoofer will engulf your room with an incredible 1200 Watts of surround sound. Rammed with features, the home cinema system lets you play 3D Blu-rays, check out catch-up apps using the built-in Wi-Fi, and mirror your smartphone on the big screen. And as if that wasn’t enough, 4K telly adopters can take advantage of the HD to 4K upscaler!
Three front and two rear channel speakers combine with a subwoofer to give you 1200 Watts of Dolby Prologic and DTS Neo 6 Sound. That's a whopping 60 times more than you'd get from your normal telly speakers! The speakers have a magnetic fluid layer, which reduces friction within the speaker, to give you a cleaner sound without distortion
Wireless rear speakers take the hassle out of speaker connectivity. There’s also two HDMI inputs, one HDMI output a USB 2.0 input, one optical audio input, an Ethernet connection and an auto calibration mic input.
The Home Entertainment System is a perfect match if you’ve already got yourself a fancy new 4K telly, or plan on upgrading in the future. The box upscales HD to 4K. That’s 3840 pixels × 2160 lines of ultra HD goodness instead of your standard 1920x1080 Full HD.
Enjoy 3D films when you connect the machine to your 3D TV. You can also give your favourite DVDs a makeover with the 3D emulator that simulates 3D. Just don’t forget to pop a pair of 3D glasses on!
Packed with cleverness, you can access a load of Smart features through the Sony Entertainment Network. This gives you apps, including YouTube, Netflix, Demand 5 and BBC iPlayer. There’s also Football Mode which uses acoustic data captured during a football match to give you a bigger match day sound. Unique to Sony’s Home Entertainment Systems, football mode also gives you the option to turn the commentator off leaving you with just the sound of the crowd. The system also supports Screen Mirroring, which mirrors your Android smartphone screen so you can see exactly what’s on your phone on your TV! Sony’s TV Sideview turns your smartphone into the remote! The must-have app is free for iPhone and Android users. There’s also a handy programme guide and top picks section so you can plan your night’s telly on your train journey home.

Easy set up and it packs a punch!
I had seen videos online of the setup of this product so knew what to expect but they did make it look very easy. It was as easy as the videos. Just connect the speakers to the unit, connect the two rear speakers to the wireless receiver (which does need to be plugged in), connect up the configuration mic, run the setup and away you go.
I primarily bought this over other products because of the Sony brand and I wanted it to work effortlessly with a Sony TV which I purchased at the same time.
Once you're connected to the 'net you need to download the apps such as Netflix etc as they don't appear to be on the system by default. The unit is fast and works with the Sony TV effortlessly via the ARC connector.
Just make sure that if you press the 'Function' button on the unit itself, that you have the TV on so you can see what the setting is changed to. I inadvertently switched it to 'TV' and wondered why I couldn't open the disc tray - presumably because a TV doesn't usually have a disc tray!
It is everything you would expect from a Sony unit. A sound purchase and highly recommended.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Value for money
