For less hassle and better results, this cylinder vacuum cleaner from Dyson delivers bagless cleaning – so you never have to worry about losing suction or replacing bags. With 800 Watts of power, this model provides brilliant cleaning on both hard floors and carpets. The HEPA filtration system is great for allergy sufferers. It removes particles of dust and pollen from the air in your home as you vacuum, meaning you’ll be able to breathe more easily. There’s also a handy crevice tool that’s perfect for cleaning in narrow, hard-to-reach areas.
This Dyson is much better than I originally thought it would be. The machine seems quieter than I expected it to be. The stair/ upholstery tool isso much better than the ones on the upright Dyson machines. I like the fact that the telescopic tubes extend generously for taller people, I like the hygienic emptying and the fact that it doesn't topple over. I don't like the parking bracket because it isn't very sturdy, the 6.5 meter cable is too short. I personally would prefer 10 and it is quite heavy but overall I like this machine. Would I recommend it? Yes I would. The bad points made it go down to 4 stars but overall it is great.
This is one of Dyson's newest machines that has only recently come out, so it has a lot of knew and exciting features that have not appeared on any previous machines. Firstly, it has the carbon fiber head and duel mode tool which have been created for a couple of years now, however they are excellent tools and are very effective. The 2 small tools on the wand have brand new designs, making them more effective than older tools. All of the tools on this machine have a quick release connector, which makes it easier to remove tools than on previous models. The extension wand on this machine is also slightly longer, and has a articulating handle which makes cleaning in smaller spaces or up high much easier. The hose on the machine is a little short, however due to the design of this machine it follows you round extremely easily, so it isn't a huge issue. The machine itself has a brand new design, with it being almost spherical. This means that if the machine is tipped over during use, it automatically puts itself upright again, meaning you don't have to stop to turn it back over, which is a very good feature. In addition the bin has a hygienic dirt ejection system which pushes the dirt from around the shroud down out of the bin. In theory, it is a very good idea, and it sometimes works, however if there is fine dust around the cyclone it doesn't push off, however it makes the cyclone accessible so the dirt can be brushed off. Overall i am very pleased with this machine. I have been using it daily over the past week and it is a great little cleaner with extremely strong suction, giving the machine very good performance.
I've had the chance to review the Dyson big ball animal CY23 vacuum cleaner and i'd like to say i'm pretty impressed with it. As i've never had a cylinder unit before, I was a little apprehensive to begin with but after opening the package and having a few days to try it out, i can say that i'm happy with the power of this machine for it's size. The vacuum comes with a variety of good tools, which can be easily fitted to the hose, which itself is extendable to reach the higher up places like the corners of your room or underneath tables and low set cupboards. There are two floor attachments that help with different floor types, carpet and wood etc, I found the multi floor tool wasn't really suitable for my carpet but was fine for my kitchen lino flooring, the other slightly smaller tool with the see through top was ideal for my living room carpet as it picked up much more than the bigger floor tool. I found the vacuum cleaner powerful enough to lift the cat hairs off my carpet while being quieter than usual. The unit is stable when you pull it as the ball helps to rotate the machine and it doesn't topple over. The container is really simple to empty too, just a sliding switch that you push down on and the bottom of the unit empties easily, into your bin. I like that the cord retracts at a touch of a button. A simple to use, powerful machine that really does the job with the animal hair. I'd recommend this Dyson big ball animal to all looking for a good machine that does what it says it does.
The Key Features of the CY23 are as follows: -- It self rights when toppled -- It hygienically ejects the dirt into your bin. -- It is Engineered for homes with pets. This model from Dyson comes with a great selection of additional tools. My favourite is the Tangle-Free Turbine Tool, which has counter-rotating heads with brushes that easily remove hair from carpets and upholstery because there’s no brush bar for hair to wrap around and get clogged. There is also the general rotating brush bar tool for carpets that has carbon fibre filaments to pick up fine dust and stiff nylon bristles to help remove ground-in dirt. I'm also very impressed with this tool because it is picking up far more dust than my previous upright Dyson the DC39. There is a Dual mode floor tool included that seamlessly glides from hard floors to carpet, with an adjustable button. This doesn't come with much documentation so it takes a bit of guess work to decide how best to use it. All of these add-on tools feature quick release buttons that mean it is very easy to smoothly change tools between tasks. My overall thoughts on the CY23 Dyson Big Ball Animal Vacuum Cleaner are that I really like how much suction it has. It is making a great job of vacuuming all the carpets in my house. The only downside I can see is that this style is a little more awkward to store than my previous upright vacuum cleaner, as the handle is so long and there are so many loose pieces, but it is far more powerful. I will probably continue to store it in the box it arrived in. The wide selection of additional tools provided are very easy to attach and turn it into an all-in-one deep cleaning machine. It also comes with a compatible connector piece that makes it compatible with the tools from my previous Dyson. I also like that it is an energy A rating which makes it cheaper to run.
This Dyson is very well made and easy to use. I especially like the new mechanism to empty the bin as it is easy to do and you don’t get those irritating bits stuck inside, leaving the bin nice and clean. It has strong suction and cleans really well leaving nice carpet lines and eradicating all pet hairs. It has a great selection of accessories for any use that you can think of. They are well made and durable. The self up-righting feature is brilliant! The machine doesn’t fail to correct itself whenever it falls on its side, saving putting everything down and going back to pick it up. The filtration is excellent and the air coming out of the machine smells clean. I would definitely recommend it for people with allergies. I think the cord could be longer but it is adequate for my house. I think this is one of the best canisters on the market and is so well made I anticipate it could last over 10 years. Excellent machine, highly recommended.
This Dyson is a very good machine in many ways. I love the new style stair brush that is supplied with it, I like the fact the extension tubes extend for taller people, It is good on stairs floors and carpets. My only faults with it are that the cable being 6.5 meters is a bit short compared to say a Numatic Henry of which I also own and the hose isn't that long on it but it gives 10.5 meters of total reach so it isn't too bad, the brushes are not that stiff on the motorized cleaner head but it is fine for shorter pile carpets. I also like the way it self-rights so it doesn't topple over. Overall I would recommend it and give it about a 9 out of 10
