For an integrated dishwasher that offers both space and excellent cleaning power, this model from Smeg is a great choice. It washes 13 place settings, making it suitable for large households. It offers versatility with 5 wash programmes, including an intensive cycle, which uses powerful jets of water to clean heavily soiled plates, to remove stubborn grease and burnt-on food. It also has a delicate programme to take care of your glassware. Plus, with its delay timer – so you can set it to start at a time that suits you.
This model has enough space for all of your daily dishes and any extras thanks to its 13 place settings. Traditionally, a place setting comprises of a dinner plate, a soup bowl, a dessert plate, a tea cup and saucer and a range of meal-time cutlery – and with enough capacity for all of this 13 times over, you’ll have more space for bulkier items.
A plus plus plus energy rating
You simply can’t get better than an A+++ energy rating and that’s exactly what you are getting with this model. This outstanding rating is calculated by combining the drying efficiency, load capacity, noise level and water and energy consumption. Almost half of the electricity consumed in your house is estimated to be from kitchen appliances, so choosing the best in efficiency class will save you a considerable amount of money on your energy bills.
The ActiveLight on this Smeg dishwasher is a clever signal that lets you know when the dishwasher is running. A small red LED light shines on to the floor, helping to prevent any accidental opening of the door while a wash is in operation.
Save energy with this intelligent Smeg dishwasher. A special device inside the unit opens the door a few centimetres after the drying phase. This ensures perfect drying without using further energy, therefore saving you up to 20%.
Quick wash 27 mins
Smeg's Quick Wash cleans lightly soiled pots and pans in just 27 minutes. Just because it’s quick doesn’t mean it compromises on performance – making it the ideal wash if you are entertaining and you need your plates, glasses and cups cleaned in next to no time.
If a dishwasher could make you cry with joy this would be it ... I love it, my old Whirlpool, had given me many years of sticking dirt to my glasses, not cleaning thoroughly even after using a dishwasher cleaner, this however gives amazing results and even opens itself after the programme finishes to allow the steam to escape. Genius! The best function is the top tier cutlery tray that splits so if you have wine glasses you can fit everything, including extra pots at the bottom rack as you have no cumbersome cutlery tray (well it does come with one but that has been condemned to the utility room cupboard forever). Worth every single penny.

we made a good choice, machine is very quiet compared to our old one and was very easy to install especially with the back support leg being adjusted by a screw at the front of machine. The cutlery tray at the top is very useful and frees up the bottom tray with extra room as no cutlery box needed. Simple instructions for the different programs and the 27 minute one for lightly soiled cups and plates is very useful. machine is more expensive than some but I think well worth paying.

This is the first dish washer i have owned and as such it is difficult to compare as i have not much to compare it with. The only other times i have used one is on holidays in self catering cottages. Having said that, this machine does everything i have asked of it. The instillation was a breeze with clear enough instruction and only took me around an hour. If you intend to use the door from your existing kitchen unit you may have to cut a filler plug to fill the hole from the door hinge to give the screws something to bite into. Easy enough with a hole saw. The unit once fitted is as solid as a rock. The programes are fairly easy to use and after one or two experiments [ some prgrames did not dry very well but that was on a quick wash ] it was easy to find a good all round wash cycle i tend to use most of the time for general washing. OK i'm a bloke so i suppose i could always go back and read the instructions. One other thing i did not know [ although if you are used to a dish washer i am sure you already know ] was the use of salt. I used an all in one tablet without the salt for the first couple of goes but after reading up on the internet how this only softens the water in the wash chamber and not in the machines pipe work before it, I filled the salt container in the machine and this made a massive difference to the clean and shine especially on glass. The machine makes no more noise than the fridge in the kitchen and so is not noticable when it is in use. The cuttlery drawer is a little fiddly to use but does free up more space in the bottom drawer where you would normally have to put a cuttlery basket. You do get a basket as well but that that went straight to the back of the cupboard on the not required shelf. All in all i am very happy with my purchase.

I really like this dishwasher. The cutlery drawer/tray is much better than the standard basket (which comes with the dishwasher too if you prefer that)
Its well made, and quiet, the only thing that isn't as good as my old washer, is that it doesn't seem to dry as well, I have to wipe some items with a cloth when I take them out, but all in all a very nice machine

Quality piece of kit
So just had this machine a week now and has to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned.
The top cutlery tray can be a bit tricky to load but the benefits are much more capacity in the bottom 2 drawers once you master the loading technique.
Cleaning capability is brilliant, not had a single item dirty in the first week, everything spotless and dry as a bone once the cycle has finished.
Its very quiet, almost silent, so good job it has the light which shines on the floor, as you wouldn't have a clue the machine was running.
Brilliant, can't really say any more...
Pros: Capacity, Cleaning, Drying, Good build quality, Quiet
