Wash half a load using less water, time and energy
13 place settings, great for a medium household
Super-efficient A+++ energy rating
With its sleek stainless steel design, this 13 place setting dishwasher is spot on for a big family. It's also great if you've got little fingers in the house, as the steel won't mark, so you won't have to keep wiping it down. The A+++ rating means it'll be really cheap to run and the Enersave tech helps with that too. At the end of a cycle, a special device slowly automatically opens the door a few centimetres, which ensures perfect drying and saves you energy. Plus, it only uses 9 litres of water, which is brilliant! The Activelight is really cool. It projects a red light onto the floor so you know when it's running and when it's finished. There are 10 programmes to choose from and it's quiet, measuring in at just 39dB.
This is my 2nd Smeg dishwasher and I'm incredibly pleased. We upgraded from the cucina model and are pleased to have the extra capacity and the cutlery drawer is fantastic. I like being able to see how much longer the cycle has to go too. A great, quiet product with lots of functionality. Not bad on the eye either. Delivery a doddle and got plenty of updates about day/slot.

Worst dishwasher I have ever owned
This dishwasher causes my wife & I nothing but stress! It's appalling. The cups do not fit properly in the racking (this is various size of cups too), they slant & fall over. Taller cups get caught in the shelf above but if you lower shelf then the rotating sprinkler hits the plates below. Dinner plates can only be placed to one side as the rotating sprinkler hits them otherwise! So this means about 4 dinner plates to one wash! The door can be very difficult to close & can take several attempts ! The door opens randomly during washes! The washing settings are long too. We use pans nearly every day which require a good hot wash & the pan setting takes over 3 hours. The shorter cycles don't clean as well. Overall a huge disappointment and I regret buying it. I've had no problems with previous dishwashers of different brand.
I tried to speak to Smeg about my disappointment but they were not interested in helping me rectify the issues. 0/10 !

I love this dishwasher! The capacity is great, and it washes brilliantly. I can't reconcile my experience with the previous review that says they can't fit their cups in. The top rack is very versatile and fits everything from mugs, childrens drinks cups, wine glasses to pint glasses without toppling any over. I'm still getting used to the top cutlery rack but actually it is a really good idea as it frees up so much space for extra crockery in the bottom drawer. I can't believe how many more dishes fit in this dishwasher, compared to my old one and they take up the same amount of room in the kitchen. My only slight downside is that with young children we wash a lot of plastic and these don't come out very dry but other than that, this is a fantastic dishwasher.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for moneyCons: Drying could be a little more effective
