Quiet, good choice programmes, still struggling to 'stack' efficiently
I like that is has a small appropriate number of programmes to choose from to wash. Particularly keen on the AUTO programme as the machine works out the best water temperature etc., - why do I need anything else? Well actually, I also love the 30MIN wash for fresh 'soil'. I doubt that it would tackle baked on 'soil' but did a great job on everything I put in, which included lightly soiled pans. I tested the AUTO wash with a lasagne dish I had left drying overnight, a red wine glass and stained teapot. I was pleased with the results, one small spot left on the lasagne dish, but considering the book recommends the PRO for heavy soiling I was very satisfied.
The RINSE facility will also be useful, when I'm home alone for a few days as I'll be able to rinse everything in the dishwasher which will save the accumulation of nasty smells when you open the door. If I'm home alone it may take 4 days to get enough to fill it, so this is the perfect answer.
Really easy to select the programme as you just click the button until the one you want is highlighted.
Liked that when I forget something I could open the door and pop it in (not long started at this point).
You can select an EXTRAHYGENIE (temperature at rinse stays at 70 degrees for at least 10 mins) and or an EXTRADRY option. What is the point of this?
These options are not available with all programmes and have to be selected every time you select the programme- which if you always want to use EXTRADRY for instance, it is a shame you can't set it to be your normal selection.
I like that you can see how long a programme has to run. You can also choose to have a DELAY START. I’m not sure why you need to, but its there if you want. I’ve not used it, so don’t know how long you can delay the start for.
Stacking the dishwasher
Whilst we got lots in the dishwasher, struggling to fit it in is not as easy as my last dishwasher. For instance we have some round deep cereal bowls which take up far too much space in this dishwasher because the racks/arms are so close together. So each one takes the place of about 4/6 plates. Still struggling to find the best fit on the top basket, if you put the plates on the right where they are nice and secure, then you haven’t got a flat surface for your mugs. But it is a work in progress, anyone who has a dishwasher will know it takes time to find the best way to stack it.
The bottom basket you can fold down the ‘arms’ at the back on the right behind the cutlery basket. This gives you a nice flat surface to put something like a large lasagne dish or perhaps saucepans. It is very useful, however, I’d have liked more choice, so if the whole row on the left could have folded down as an option. I often have more ‘big’ objects than plates to get in, so more variety here would have been useful.
What I didn't need was the lid for the cutlery basket - totally impractical. So just took it off.
Also thought the glasses basket was a waste of space, couldn't fit any of my large selection of wine glasses in it, I couldn't unsnap the red 'stem' holder to place the glass in as it is so tightly secured. (My daughter did it with quite some effort, but frankly your likely to break your glasses trying to unsnap the holders and get them back out and I still can't unsnap it). So now I have the choice of throwing it away or finding somewhere to store it!.
I have taken out the filters and found them easy enough to remove, rinse and replace.
I find the noise level very good. I’m confidant my three month old granddaughter would have no trouble sleeping through it.
Pros: Ease to use, Looks good, QuietCons: no need for a glasses basket
