This dishwasher was not my choice, I'm not a great believer in all the hype surrounding Miele products.
We have Miele washer and dryer and the Better Half wanted the DW to match.
On first use she was spouting about how much more spacious it seemed than our previous AEG, and how even with the upper basket on the low position, she could get a full size dinner plate in the lower basket without the spray arm hitting it, however her pleasure was soon turned to disappointment when she realised that Mieles lowest setting is the highest setting on other manufactures machines, this came about as you cannot get any wine glass in the upper basket of the Miele as the upper basket needs to go lower and the levels given by Miele are totally impractical.
The lower basket is passable in use but with a very cheap feel, no fancy handles or flexibility.
the top basket has zero flexibility and is even awkward trying to get cups all the way along as there are sticking up twines for plates everywhere.
the sliding cutlery basket is better and items are cleaner.
this Miele has a fan to aid drying, but things don't come out anywhere near as dry as in our AEG.
All in all, a expensive slimline with a very minimalistic basic feel, and in my opinion, very ugly to look at without following a family line (ie: does not keep in line with how their washers look) so without the brand name on it, you could be mistaken for it being built by another manufacturer.
another downside is the noise it makes, The AEG was 49db from 1 mtr, Miele claim 46db, but in comparison Miele must measure this from 20 Mtr as it is no where near as quiet as the old one.
It washes well though, so it has that in its favor
Pros: Ease to useCons: Expensive, Noisy, Poor quality
