Glide through your ironing with this Tefal steam generator iron. With Durilium Autoclean Technology, the soleplate surface is kept free from leftover detergent residue, for super-smooth ironing on all fabrics. The anti-calc collector prevents limescale build-up and stops blockages in the steam chamber, so your iron will always work at its best. Smart Technology gives you a number of pre-programmed settings that adjust the temperature and steam output depending on the fabric type to give your clothes the best care. It also has a 1.6 litre water tank, so you won’t have to refill as often.
The anti-calc collector helps to prolong the life of your iron. It uses special technology to tackle hard water and prevents the build-up of limescale. The scale collects in a handy spoon which easily pulls out of the side of the iron to be emptied. This keeps your iron working at its best and prevents any of the steam holes from getting clogged up, ensuring a super smooth ironing experience every time you use it.
Smart technology for easier ironing
Tefal’s Smart technology takes the guesswork out of ironing different fabrics. It creates the perfect combination of steam and temperature in 3 automatic settings that give great results on every fabric. Choose between normal, minimum and maximum for the best laundry care. The minimum setting is great for delicate items, the normal setting is best suited to everyday fabrics like cotton, and the high setting is perfect for denim. This lets you iron every item in your wardrobe without having to worry about damaging your favourite outfits.
Large water tank capacity
This steam generator iron has a generous 1.6 litre water tank which means tackling the laundry pile has never been simpler. It has an easy-to-fill water tank in the base that will give you powerful steam for longer. This means you can get through your ironing without needing to regularly refill the tank.

Tefal Pro Express Plus GV8931 Steam Generator Iron
This is fab! Love how easy it is to use and that you don't really have the change it when using different fabrics. it's especially good on delicate items such as ladies blouses which I wear a lot of and jeans. It is a fairly bulky is the only real con. I would recommend it and would buy it again if I had the choice.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Value for moneyCons: None

Review of Tefal Pro Express Steam Generator Iron
After using traditional steam irons for many years, this offered me the one thing that they all lack - steam and lots of it.,
In use, although solidly built, the iron is light and easy to use, in fact lighter than a full traditional iron, and the fact that the water unit is mounted on the ironing board removes the annoyance of catching garments with the power lead. The removable tank holds a decent amount of water; certainly enough to allow you to do a lot of ironing before refilling and it comes with an easy to see warning light when it gets low.
Controls are extremely simple to use as all you have to do is turn it on and choose between "delicate", "normal" or "jeans" and it will adjust steam and temperature to suit what you are ironing. The real beauty of this iron though is the high pressure steam it delivers which knocks creases out of clothing almost instantly and is leagues ahead of a conventional iron. Between bursts you can hear the base unit building up pressure again.
I use a normal sized ironing board, and I wasn't sure if this would be suitable as it is quite bulky. It does work ok however I personally do not feel comfortable so have decided I will be purchasing a bigger ironing board.
When not in use, it has a handy iron lock mechanism which physically holds the iron in place, great safety feature for anyone that has young children. The ironing plate isn't as big as I expected but the more than ample steam compensates against a normal iron.
From power it up it takes roughly 4/5 minutes to become usable, which is much longer than a conventional iron, so if you are in a rush you may want to plan ahead. However, it definitely saves time when you have a lot of ironing to do.
One very useful safety feature is auto power off; I can get easily distracted and knowing this will turn itself off automatically is a great feature!
