Stand Installation, Disposal
Stand Installation £ 44.99
We want you to enjoy your new TV as soon as possible. Rather than messing about with cables and following loads of steps in the instruction manual, let us set it up for you. We'll attach the new TV to the stand that it comes with. If you've bought an additional TV stand, there's a separate installation charge. We'll also tune it in, set up any Smart features and connect up all your existing kit. We’ll even take away the bulky packaging.
Disposal £ 14.99
We’ll happily take away your old TV for you and recycle it. All we ask is that it’s unplugged and ready to go. The fee for this service relates to the cost of taking your old TV away on our van rather than the recycling service. If you've paid for installation, we will recycle your old TV free of charge.

Stunning colour & contrast on a curved screen
Smart TV - catch up, movies, & 4K streaming
Freeview HD - 60 free channels including 12 in HD
4 HDMI & 3 USB ports - plug in lots of devices at once
This Hisense 55 inch LED TV has a 4K Ultra HD resolution with upscaling for incredible clarity and realism. The curved screen offers a more natural viewing angle, and High Dynamic Range technology delivers an impressive colour spectrum, giving stunning depth. It’s also a Smart TV so it connects to various apps for enjoying catch up, movies and 4K streaming. You’ll never run out of shows to watch with the built-in Freeview HD tuner, which accesses 60 free channels including 12 in HD. With 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports, you can even connect multiple devices.
This Ultra HD 4K TV gives you a lifelike, crystal clear picture. With four times more pixels than Full HD, and twice the resolution – it will draw you right into the heart of the action – whether you’re watching an epic movie or your favourite sport. This model has upscaling capabilities – which means it will upgrade your Full HD picture into near 4K quality. It uses clever technology to fill in the gaps between pixels – so you can make the best of your HD channels and Blu-ray movies!
HDR takes 4K viewing to the next level, delivering incredibly vivid, life-like colours that’ll make sure you enjoy the ultimate home cinema experience. By ramping up the contrast, HDR provides brighter whites and darker blacks, so every frame is super-dynamic and detailed. This means a more realistic picture onscreen, so you’ll feel more immersed in what you’re watching.
Smart with Ultra HD 4K streaming
This TV has some great Smart capabilities so you can catch up on all of your favourite shows. It lets you interact with friends on social media, stream movies and watch the soaps you might have missed throughout the week. And, because it lets you stream films and TV shows in Ultra HD 4K, you can watch all of the latest 4K releases in stunning quality. 4K definition boosts the picture quality to give you sharper and more detailed images, for the ultimate viewing experience.
Freeview HD is the fuss-free way to catch your favourite shows. With access to up to 60 channels, you won’t be short on entertainment for the evening thanks to this model. You’ll even have access to 12 channels in HD, so whether you’re watching soaps or sports, you’ll get great detail and a clear picture.

Good but HDR function and Apps need improvement
This is a mid range 55 inch curved TV from Hisense. If you've not had a TV this size before and are upgrading from a 40 inch one you might be surprised by how much larger this is. In fact it's so wide that it doesn't even fit on my TV bench, the dimensions stated in the manual said it would fit but the legs are just a bit too wide at 115 cm.
If you're careful you can unpack it on your own you don't need 2 people but it's much easier with somebody else as well. The whole box lifts up and off the TV you don't have to reach into the box to pull it out. The screen itself is very well protected, just don't take the Protection off until you've lifted it onto a stand. It weighs around 19 kg, and can be lifted via the two plastic standoffs on the rear of the TV.
It's very easy to set up, although I haven't tested the Freeview or satellite functions yet. It's got a very extensive menu system allowing you to play files over USB, even HDR demo files. Although the HDR support does not extend to the built in Netflix and Amazon apps. There is HDR support however Via HDMI. It has 4 HDMI sockets, 2 supporting 4K at 60 frames a second, and 2supporting 4K at 30 frames a second. Unfortunately ARC is supported on one of the latter. It also has a full-size SCART socket, composite and component inputs. It has a 3.5mm headphone socket, two USB 2.0 sockets and one USB 3.0 socket. It does not support 3-D.
The included remote is basic but functional, it's includes a shortcut
button to the Netflix app. There is no second remote control included like that is with some higher end televisions.
The picture and sound settings are almost infinitely tweakable. It's a calibrators dream and it's quite easy to get a reference level performance from this TV. The contrast ratio is also good at more than 4000: 1. The audio section of the menu is also extremely versatile, lots of settings you can tweak to get a really good sound including a 5-band graphic equaliser. Even though this is quite a thin TV you can still get quite good sound out of it, although of course not as good as the dedicated 5.1 system.
Now to the not so great bits, unfortunately it does not properly support 24p, instead it introduces some judder and plays the content at 30p. You can smooth this out a little with the ultra smooth motion setting in the menu and a lot of people will not even notice. The other thing I saw is a bit of black light clouding, on my set this was at the bottom right. Most obvious during dark scenes at night. This has lessened a little with extended use.
If you're careful about reflections, don't place it opposite a window, then you can get a very good performance from this television. It would be nice to see an update to the apps so that you can get HDR playback on Netflix and Amazon content which supports it. I'd also like to see the addition of All 4 ITV hub and demand five.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for moneyCons: Apps need updating, No proper 24p support
