Clothes are gently washed thanks to a thorough soak
Adjusts water and energy to save money
Special allergy setting, great for sensitive skin
8kg wash, 5kg dry - ideal for larger families
Rated A for energy efficiency
Fuzzy Logic from Hoover. The Hoover DB854DN/1 comes with intelligent fuzzy logic that automatically detects the weight of your load. Once it’s done that, it’ll adjust the water consumption and cycle length for you. It uses just the right amount of water and electricity each wash which helps you save money. You can wash a lot of clothes at once. Its 8kg drum can wash 40 adult t-shirts and dry 25 at once – fantastic for a busy family. There’s also a quick wash for lighter loads that’ll whizz through the cycle in just 14 minutes; great when you’re in a hurry.
For busy households that need a washer dryer that can keep up with their laundry routine, this model is a good choice. It has a medium sized 8kg wash load and a 5kg dry load - we believe the bigger the drum the better, not only because of the extra capacity, but also because your clothes have more room to tumble for a better clean.
Ideal if anyone in your household suffers with allergies, Hoover’s Allergy Care programme will become one of your favourite options. By washing at higher temperatures and using extra rinses, your clothes are left pollen, fur and dust free. It will even remove all traces of detergent, so it’s perfect for sensitive skin.
Fuzzy logic KG mode
Using sensors to weigh your washing when you load the drum, this clever KG mode by Hoover helps you to get the most out of your machine. It can work out just how much water, time and energy it needs to use throughout the cycle to get your clothes clean - helping you save on your utility bills without having to lift a finger.
Protect your clothes with Hoover’s smart Sensor Drying technology. Sensors in the washer dryer detect when your clothes are dry and switch the appliance to a cool tumble. This helps to save energy and keeps your clothes looking great as it prevents over-drying.
I have been very impressed with this washer/dryer and only hope this one lasts a long as my previous washer/dryer. I chose Hoover as my previous one was hoover but not actually built in. The fact you can do a quick wash 15min, 39 min or 44 min is great and the wash very good

The machine keeps breaking down maybe if I was washing for a rugby team every week I'd understand but I'm a one person household so the maximum number of washes I do a week is 2/4 and the biggest load is when I wash 4/5 towels. It is not capable of drying a double bed set. I have now had this machine installed for 360 days and it has broken down for the 5th time. My kitchen floor is damaged from all the water that the machine has spilled out. initially the belt kept falling off and the drainage has never been good. I've had sensors and the belt replaced by very nice engineer sent by a very unhelpful Hoover candy customer services. I will never buy another Hoover Candy machine. All I want now is for someone to pay to dispose of the washing because even the idea of a replacement fills me with dread.

Happy after a few teething problems
When I first used the dryer I found that the clothes were coming out extremely hot and creased. An engineer came and replaced the control board. I still wasnt too happy with the creasing of the clothes. I have had tumbledryers all my life and found them excellent at reducing the ironing. I picked the Hoover as experience tells me that the bigger the drum the more room the clothes have to tumble. I never dry from wet (too costly) so my washing is line dry. Ive worked out that if I use the 30 min dry and then use the 10 min fan cycle as well the clothes come out without the need to iron them. Im very happy with the wash cycle (I use the 59 option) I don't really know why they put all these wash options when everyone you speak to only ever use one or two options!!! I would recommend this machine now Iv'e ironed (sorry) out the teething problems.

Washer Dryer Rescue
I am really happy with my new Hoover HDB854DN washer dryer. It is much quieter than my previous one. The variety of programmes is great and you can really tailor the machine to your personal needs. I'm not sure quite how effective the drying programmes are, but I think I still need to fine tune my preferences in this area. I like the capacity of the drum - I feel there is more space to properly wash and dry all my laundry.

brilliant and NOT noisy!! please read!!
When we first got this machine it rumbled and shook my whole house. I had read reviews saying this happened but thought it must have been exaggerated. I was sooooo wrong!!! I thought my whole kitchen was going to collapse. After the kickboard fell down I caved and contacted ao.com customer services and they informed me instill had my transit screws in place. My husband had failed to read the instructions and left them in place so the whole thing was rigid. My only complaint is that ao.com did not offer installation on my ourchase because it was integrated yet when I purchased it no warning came up saying this so I anticipated installation when it was delivered, otherwise unwound have organised installation by someone else who would have read the instructions first time round!!! Apart from that its a great device. The drum is huge and I absolutely love the sensitive skin setting - it really does work, none of our clothes itch anymore with any softener I use. The dryer is great too and I love that you can set it to extra, cupboard or iron dry. A very very clever machine!!!
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for moneyCons: slightly bigger than old device
