Twin tuners - record more than one programme at a time
Wi-fi ready internet connection
This Humax Freeview+ HD recorder gives you enough hard drive space to record over 5 days of telly! The 500GB hard drive combines with a twin tuner so that you can record one show whilst watching another. This means there are no more clashes, which is perfect when the soaps clash with the football. Freeview+ gives you over 50 digital and 10 HD channels. You can also pause and rewind live TV! Hook the box up to your home’s router, using an Ethernet cable or a Wi-Fi adapter, to get a load of Smart features including BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
We think this box of tricks is great. But, don’t just take our word for it, check out the awards this clever unit has won from industry experts. Recommendations from AV Forums, Trusted Reviews and What Hi-Fi don’t come lightly so this product really can take a bow!
Setting up is straight forward, simply use the HDMI cable provided to connect to your telly. Older sets are covered too as there’s a SCART output and two USB slots so you can grab content you’ve already got stored on an external hard drive. A great feature is the twin tuner. This lets you record two channels or record one and watch one at the same time. Getting connected to your broadband is also easy, simply plug in an Ethernet cable to your router.
This box has a huge 500GB hard drive so you can record 125 hours of HD content or 300 hours of standard definition telly. That’s over 5 days of back-to-back telly watching! You can also pause and rewind live TV, which is perfect if you’ve missed a goal or just want to see your favourite reality TV star’s fake tan again!
The electronic programme guide (EPG) lets you set reminders and there’s even Smart recording so you can record an entire series. It will also look at timetable clashes and suggest alternative recording times. This avoids rows in your house and gives ITV2+1 a few more viewers!
If you’re not feeling inspired with your movie collection then you can connect to Panasonic’s cloud service, Viera Connect, to access a variety of online content, whether it’s a documentary on BBC iPlayer or the latest release on Netflix. You can also view your social media accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter and Skype so you won’t miss a beat.
Easy to set up, easy to use and attractive to look at. Thoroughly recommend the product, and AO.

Humax - Excellent and easy to use
Bought this to take over from our rather old Bush recorder. Gosh what a difference.
So easy to set up (I'm not a techie by any means) just follow the instruction manual.
Nice small box which fits surreptitiously inside our TV cabinet. Good quality and intuitive remote.
Decided to add a Wifi (bought the Edimax which works fine) and we are delighted with the whole thing.

The instruction booklet does not answer any of my questions. I'm sorry that I bought it. It is far too complicated and I have to press too many buttons to achieve my objectives. Too clever for its own good. It is so frustrating. The Humax Top Box that I had previously, was much better but it is now obsolete..
