Product Review of Khalm Norstone TV Stand
Instructions generally easy to follow but some of the diagrams were minuscule. Panels, fixings etc were well labelled but some parts were labelled incorrectly or shown the wrong way round in the diagrams. While this was relatively easy to sort out it could have stumped some people.
The separate instructions for the door stays were complete gibberish.
Instructions indicated it would take 2 people and hour to assemble. In the event it was done by one person (a fairly experienced flat pack assembler) in about 90 minutes.
The finished stand is modern looking with a white glass front and top and white gloss side panels. The legs are chrome. It might not fit in with everyone’s decor.
The front folds down to reveal Sky/DVD/game consoles on the internal shelf but remote controls work through the glass so they can remain concealed. There are plenty of cable holes in the back of the stand, and cable ties are provided to keep everything neat.
While I built this with legs on there are brackets supplied to fit just the box to the wall, and there are also separate fittings to connect two units together side-by-side.
It feels solid and the instructions indicate that the top will take up to 50kg in weight, and the inner shelf 20kg. The top is 100cm x 52cm so will comfortably take large TVs with central stands but not massive TVs which have legs near the end of the screen (for that you could fit two of these stands side by side).
