Self-cleaning tech keeps machine fresh between washes
Gives an intense clean to a selected zone
Whisper quiet, ideal for open plan living
14 place settings, great for a large household
Super-efficient A+++ energy rating
With enough space to wash 14 place settings and a variety of specialised cleaning features, this Hotpoint dishwasher is great for busy families. This dishwasher is a great size, meeting the demands of a busy household with ease. Not only does it wash, but it has a turbo dry feature which quickly removes excess moisture from your plates and crockery. You can delay your cycle up to 9 hours, so your bowls are cleaned at a time that suits you. It uses less water too, which in turn will keep your bill costs low.
Bigger than your average dishwasher, this model has plenty of room to cope with the busiest home kitchens thanks to its 14 place settings. Your typical place setting is made up of a dinner plate, a soup bowl, a dessert plate, a tea cup and saucer as well as all of your usual meal-time cutlery. So, with the capacity to hold all of this 14 times over, you’ll be able to entertain dinner guests without worrying about the dishes.
Noise level 42dB
Thanks to its really low noise level, this dishwasher is ideal for open plan kitchens. Reducing the decibels to 42, you can get on with your daily jobs or simply relax without knowing your machine is even working. Less sound also means less wasted energy coming from your kitchen - making this appliance an efficient and practical addition to your home.
A plus plus plus energy rating
You simply can’t get better than an A+++ energy rating and that’s exactly what you are getting with this model. This outstanding rating is calculated by combining the drying efficiency, load capacity, noise level and water and energy consumption. Almost half of the electricity consumed in your house is estimated to be from kitchen appliances, so choosing the best in efficiency class will save you a considerable amount of money on your energy bills.
Self clean function
With the simple press of a button, the self-cleaning function on this Hotpoint dishwasher leaves you with a hygienically clean machine. To be used when the appliance is empty, a powerful and effective disinfectant is released, leaving your machine looking and smelling wonderfully clean. Thanks to this really handy feature, you’ll no longer have to spend your time scrubbing every corner of your dishwasher to ensure everything is squeaky clean for the next wash.
The Zone Wash feature on this integrated Hotpoint dishwasher allows you to concentrate the power of your cleaning programme on the pots and pans that need it the most. Independently controlled water jets distribute the water, so it can get to work on tough stains in one basket while washing lightly stained items on the other rack. This feature can achieve up to 30% extra cleaning power than a standard full load cycle, giving you fantastic results.
What an excellent addition to my kitchen.
The dishwasher is very easy to use, with only a small number of buttons and a straight forward numerical digital display indicating which programme is running. Some buttons include an LED which shows certain functions are active such as washing tablet, deep clean etc.
The build quality appears to be high, with all components functioning as they should. Baskets roll smoothly and feel secure when heavy items are placed in them, and I especially like the way the cutlery basket can slide left or right allowing the load space to be customised. Tablets fit easily in to the dispenser compartment, which is something other machines can struggle with, and it closes smoothly without being forced.
I found the "tops" or "lids" on the cutlery basket to be utterly useless. None of my cutlery would fit through the holes. However they retract, and with a bit of jiggling are removable completely. Once removed, everything fits perfectly. The cutlery tray (above the upper basket) is a handy addition, allowing long carving knives etc to be cleaned.
The noise level is superb, exactly as stated by the manufacturer. I only notice the noise in the kitchen when I actively listen for it, and it does not interfere with life when I am in other rooms. I have yet to fit the cupboard door to the front of the machine, and I anticipate this further reducing noise.
The door is a little stiff when opening, but as stated I've yet to hang my cupboard door, which will add weight and ease the operation.
The water inlet hose is fixed to the machine, unlike other models where a hose needs to be screwed on. For me, this was an issue as the fixed hose wouldn't reach my dishwasher tap, however it should be noted my tap is in the wrong place so not the dishwashers fault. A 3/4 inch brass nipple from a DIY store allows the connection of the hose to an extension, which is the route I have taken until I can have the tap moved.
The height of the upper basket can be changed. Don't be fooled by this feature, it's useful really in allowing the upper basket to be placed lower down so long neck wine glasses can be washed; it doesn't give you any greater level of space on the lower level for bigger plates (same space as many other dishwashers).
The eco programme is long, but as it's saving me lots of money in energy and water bills, I don't mind. There are faster options, but running overnight doesn't present time problems.
I'm very happy with how the machine deals with burnt on stains, and the overall effectiveness in cleaning is high. Glasses are streak free and crystal clear. The instructions recommend using rinse aid, even with tablets, which is something I'd not done previously. This certainly gives an added shine.
I'd previously had a Hotpoint dishwasher and having a new kitchen fitted thought I might upgrade to what I considered a more premium brand, however I did a lot of research and for the money and features, I don't think this dishwasher can be beaten. The level of noise was a big concern for me, and Hotpoint seem to have the edge in the market at present.
All in all, a really brilliant machine that I am thoroughly happy with.

Best dishwasher ever had
Felt I must let people know that I cannot praise this dishwasher enough and only wished I had bought it instead of a bosch or neff which I had previously had! I particularly like the Quietness and the extra tray for large utensils at top And yo can lower or highten the whole upper level too and have different height glasses in the compartments too!

So Far So Good
When our dishwasher packed up recently I researched both the retailer and the make and model of a replacement. Looking at all of the reviews on this model I became confident it suited our needs.
Controls on our old washer were simple. Rinse, Warm or Hot Wash. We probably should sit and read the instructions more fully but we plumped for 'cycle 3', which seemed to offer the best all round performance from many available.
To date, I must say the machine has performed very well. It's quiet and seems to have a huge capacity. The baskets are well thought out. The tray for longer utensils great. I like the fact that the cutlery drawer shape allows me to move it along the bottom front plate rack to the most convenient spot and that the rear plate rack can be folded.
I also like that the top tray can be adjusted. I thought I'd read that the tray prevented larger plates going in the bottom but we found putting the tray to it's high setting solved that issue.
So......it has loads of programmes, it washes a lot of dishes well, it's quiet and gives flexibility. There must surely be a downside at the price? Oh, and it comes with door hanging instructions so it's quite easy to instal.
Well. I had a couple of minor set backs, although this was unique to me but maybe worth noting.
Pay close attention to the door fitting guide. Initially I was out by about 3mm and, believe me, it made a difference. Should've used a measuring tape!
I had to alter my kitchen unit for the water inlet to come through as it's fitted with what appears to be a non return valve - that was awkward more than difficult.
The cable was shorter than the machine it replaced and so I had to move the socket. Not a fault but worth considering.
Finally......we love the machine, but the real test is how long and how well it works and that remains to be seen.

I Expected better
It does the job but is far from brilliant, the door does not seem to open all the way down so you cant leave the bottom basket out while you fill it, without holding on to it . Rather annoying.
Pros: Ease to use, QuietCons: Poor quality

This machine is so quiet which in an open plan house is perfect. The trays are easy to load and are much deeper than my previous model. In previous comments the cutlery tray seemed to be an issue but the tops unclip and slide to the side anyway so you don't have the use them if you don't want to. Can't recommend highly enough. Love it!!
