Make a statement with Smeg. The PGF64-4 Classic built in gas hob from Smeg will look great in your kitchen with its stainless steel ultra low base and black cast iron pan supports. The 4 powerful burners vary in size so you can use both small and large pans. It includes a 4.0kW ultra rapid burner for when you need that extra bit of oomph, perfect for flash frying or wok cooking. The control knobs, with automatic ignition, are really easy to use and let you select the best temperature for whatever you’re cooking. For added safety, it’s got a flame failure safety device that will cut the gas supply if the flame goes out. For added flexibility, this hob is LPG convertible.
Display transfers on surface of hob have wiped off after 4 months of use. Tried to get Smeg to help and they simply said I must have used abrasive cleaners and could not help. I have not used abrasive cleaners , I have used washing up liquid and water. Hob whistles continuously on low. Technician who came to house said that's what gas hobs do. Also suggested to me that if I changed the hob for a new one the same problems would occur on any of their hobs. As a consequence I would not recommend anyone to buy any Smeg hob. Smeg were not at all helpful. Their technician took my oven out and left it wonky. I complained and they said nothing could be done.

Not impressed for a smeg
nightmare to light constantly holding the knob down while it tries to light. Disappointed is an understatement for a Smeg product.

We bought and installed this cooker ourselves, which was a little bit fiddly and had it connected by a certified plumber. The cooker looks brilliant. It is set in the work surface so that it is flush with the top of the surface. It has a contemporary and slick look. The pan frames are made of cast iron and are really sturdy. We are really happy with our new hob.
