Had this for just under a week now and overall impressed. 900 watts is enough to handle most cooking / heating tasks easily and also has a built in grill function which is really useful as my grill is also the 2nd oven so can’t always be used.
From the outside it looks very modern being gloss black all over. The display also looks smart with its white/blue LED screen.
The microwave is quite big but I think part of that is so it can house the grill as well but the build does seem quite clunky. The housing seems to rattle a little bit when in use and the door is loud when it is opening and closing, for me this isn’t a huge issue and I can put up with it as the kitchen is usually loud anyway.
The control buttons are easy to see and understand, not the smoothest buttons I’ve used but firm enough so you know they are being pressed. The display is also really clear with the large white LED characters. From here you can choose what function you’d like to use. Microwave or the grill then there are also additional features like the option to defrost by weight or time. You can also use the microwave as a stand-alone timer/clock if you want to as well. Inside you have plenty of space, the interior light also makes everything inside easy to see. It does goes back quite far so you may struggle to reach things at the back if this is placed too high up. It is also enamel on the side which should make it easier to clean but it is too early to tell is this is the case verses a plastic lined one.
Along the top (inside) you also have the automatic programmes details that are useful if you are not sure how long to put things in for. e.g potato – selecting A-6 from the dial will set this going for just under 5 minutes. You use the dial on the front to quickly select the start functions (Scroll left to quickly start a time / Scroll right to select the auto timers).
Once the microwave is on, it is louder than I was expecting – not much of an issue in the kitchen but I don’t think I’d like this in a more open plan living space. You also can’t see much through the door. Again, not a huge issue but might be a problem if things like milk or soup start to boil over.
For the grill you have the useful metal platform to use to hold the food closer to the top of the microwave. Like the microwave function, once the grill is on it is also fairly loud and you still can’t see too much from the outside but it still grills the food quickly.
Apart from the noise I think this is a really good microwave for day-to-day cooking tasks.
Hope that helps!
Pros: Ease to use, Looks good, multi functionCons: Noisy
