Possibly the best Bread Maker in the world.

Superb quality from (In my Opinion), the best Bread Maker I have used. Simple instructions with the best tasting bread you will ever bake. I substitute Honey for sugar and Olive oil for butter - how healthy is that? If you eat bread, and want to know what is in it - this is for you.

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money Cons: None

machine that is easy to use

Since buying this product I have made various loaves in this machine, so far i have had excellent results. Being an ex naval chef I am usually a bit dissatisfied with products but i can recommend this product. The only problem is as my wife says we will be putting on a lot of weight as the bread is so delicious.

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money Cons: None

Good product with good features

Really pleased with this breadmaker - easy to use and good instructions. A good variety of programmes, easy to clean and easy to remove the paddle which has been a problem with other breadmakers. A wonderful Christmas present!

Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for money Cons: None

Great addition

We've used an older model for many years and have enjoyed great service. It was becoming a little worse for wear so we decided to splash out and invest in a newer model and so far have not regretted it. Many of the features were available in the old machine but this one seems easier to use with a few valuable extras. We have had a couple of disappointments but this is more due to not reading instructions correctly rather than a machine fault. One of these was caused by putting peel and dry fruit in the timer as with the old machine so we ended up with Panattoni without any fruit but plenty in the tray. Overall a great machine I would not hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely Fantastic

I must start this review by saying that I had never used a breadmaker before. I had always wanted one, but the idea was daunting and they all looked so complicated. However, I decided to 'bite the bullet' and buy the Panasonic SD-2511 and I am so glad I did! The breadmaker is easy to set up and it comes with the bread pan itself, two measuring jugs, a measuring spoon and a saltdough spoon. It also comes with two kneading blades - one for normal dough and one for rye bread. To use the breadmaker, you just add the ingredients to the bread pan (adding yeast first, then all dry ingredients, and then liquids) and set your desired programme. One of the things I love about this breadmaker is the wealth of programmes it actually offers. It has all the usual programmes of white bread, brown bread, rye bread, sourdough, scones etc, but you can also make pizza dough and...jam! There are also settings for if you just want it to knead the dough and not actually bake, which is great as it caters for every different type of 'baker.' The breadmaker itself isn't noisy at all and the only reason I knew it was on a majority of the time was from the glorious smell that was filling my kitchen! The time it takes to make and bake the bread varies as it's dependent on the different settings, but for a standard white loaf it took about 3 hours 45 minutes, which isn't bad by any means. It also has a brilliant timer function, so you can add the ingredients and set it so that you have warm, fresh bread when you wake up in the morning - a setting my husband is very adamant that I try. I can't think of any cons of this breadmaker. It's simple and easy to use. It has 3 size settings and 3 crust colour settings. Definitely a 5/5 item! I would definitely recommend this breadmaker.

Best Bread Maker

I have been using my Panasonic SD 257 (once a week) for a number of years now and it is still going strong, The flour I use I get from my friendly local baker and I use lard not butter as he informed me that is better as it gives you a lighter finish with more bounce, I also make two loafs at a time as I use Hovis dried yeast and it comes in 7gm packets which is just right for two extra large loafs, I have found that if you keep yeast after it has been opened the next loaf is not so good, after they have cooled down I cut the loaf in half top to bottom then slice them bag them in plastic bags and seal them and put them in the freezer, and take out when needed. I have found that if I defrost them for 30 seconds they come out just as if they were just baked or you can pop them in the toaster from frozen, as I live on my own that is more suited to my purposes. There is nothing better than a nice fresh warm bread with butter on it.. I would recommend a Panasonic Bread Maker to anybody when mine finely goes to the bread maker in the sky I will purchase another one to replace it..
