Retro style, perfect toast. The ST17010BLN 4 slice retro toaster from Swan will look gorgeous in your kitchen with its classy baby blue finish and cream trim. It’s not just a pretty face though with its electronic browning control letting you make the perfect toast. If you keep your bread in the freezer you’ll love the defrost setting and even if you forget your toast is ready, there’s a reheat button that’ll bring it back to temperature without burning it. They’ll be no more burnt fingers with the high lift mechanism and cool touch sides. Also, it’s extra safe thanks to the auto shut-off that stops toasting at the end of the timer and the cord storage to keep your countertop clutter free. For easy cleaning there’s a removable crumb tray that’ll capture all escaped crumbs so you get the best performance from your toaster.

Swan Retro toaster review
The first thing you notice is that the retro design and chrome finishing gives it a great look. Definately something to have on show in your kitchen and not hidden away in a cupboard.
The levers can be used to check progress without it affecting the toasting. You get buttons to defrost, reheat or cancel. The temperature controls work well. Two crumb trays can be pulled out from the back and are easy to use.
The most important thing about a toaster is obviously how well it toasts. Well no problem there. It makes excellent toast, crumpets or anything else you care to try.
One word of warning. The Swan Retro is ideal for medium/small sized bread. A large slice of bread would have trouble fitting all the way in (your have to put the slice of bread in vertically) and would mean the top part would stick out and avoid being toasted.
For the price, this is a great value toaster. It looks great, and it works great as long as you avoid the larger slices of bread.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Quiet, Value for moneyCons: Small slots
