Get your new cooker fitted the same day it’s delivered. Our Gas Safe registered engineers will disconnect your old appliance before getting your new one set up. We’ll happily take away your old appliance for you and recycle it. All we ask is that it’s disconnected, empty and ready to go.
Great for traditional cooking. With the STERLING600G you get a gas hob along with 2 conventional gas ovens. This is great, as with gas cooking your oven will be hotter at the top than it is at the bottom, making it perfect for roast dinners. You can put your potatoes at the top to make them nice and crispy while your meat will stay soft and tender at the bottom. You even get an electric variable grill in the top oven, so you can get the temperature just right for crispy bacon.
This was a good looking cooker but failed to deliver. From day one both oven cavities would not stay lit. I had three engineer visits and the problem could not be solved. Whilst I still had the cooker I had to check at every 5 minutes to see if the oven was still on (the same for both ovens).
Also, when either of the ovens were on the control knobs became so hot that you needed oven gloves to touch them. The control knobs were very difficult to clean. One of the engineers advised that they needed to be regularly removed and all the bits separated to be cleaned in order to prevent any sticking.
In addition, lighting the hob needed two hands as you have to hold in and turn the control knob whilst pressing the ignition button.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience and a great relief when I was refunded and able to change the cooker for a different make (Cannon) which has proved to be better in very respect.
