The Stoves STERLINGR100GT Range Cooker comes in a contemporary stainless steel colour. This Range Cooker has a gas conventional oven oven.
The STERLINGR100GT main cavity capacity is 42 litres, which means this is ideal for smaller families. The flame safety device senses when the flame has been extinguished and automatically cuts off the gas supply preventing a dangerous gas leak. To offer peace of mind the Stoves STERLINGR100GT free standing Range Cooker also comes with a 1 year warranty.
The Stoves cooker looks good. The manual is pathetic. Don't yet know if it works well since one of the ovens doesn't light and we have had to wait two weeks for an engineer THIS COOKER IS BRAND NEW. I thought service as poor as this was a thing of the past.

Bought this item because we wanted a gas oven as well as gas hob. It also looks good. Also bought it because it is made in Britain.
The installation guide is useless: I had to work with the plumber to measure exactly where the gas outlet had to be positioned to ensure we could push the oven back to the wall and comply with Gas regulations (we had a tolerance of about 1cm on either side of the gas outlet). To do this we had to have the cooker in position and then pull it away slightly and mark the wall: not easy with an item that size and weight.
We also had to alter the kitchen units because the handles of the oven doors when opened could cause severe damage to the adjacent cabinet doors. The installation manual says nothing about this and indeed photographs of the cooker show it installed immediately next to a cabinet.
The control knobs did not move smoothly (felt cheap). On one visit, the Stoves service engineer sprayed WD-40 on them to give a smoother feel.
The hob ignition was unreliable: we often had to use a match to light a burner. I lost count of the calls I had to make to Stoves Customer Services to try to resolve the matter (all at my expense). Four visits from Stoves engineers could not fix the problem. Stoves offered a new cooker; we agreed.
The replacement cooker's ignition is more reliable (we have put the matches away), unfortunately, the cooling fan for one of the ovens in the replacement cooker does not work: I'm waiting for the engineer to come and fix it. The cooling fan in the oven that does work is noisy.
The user guide section of the manual is as useless as the installation section. The whole manual is badly written and poorly presented. Frankly shameful for a product this expensive.
The quality and reliability of the product reminds me of a UK-built car from the 1970s and 80s: you will have to be dedicated to buying British to buy one of these. Shame because, as mentioned before, the product looks good and when it works, the cooker is fine.
I'm disappointed that it is possible to buy quality, value for money products from Central and Eastern Europe and even from Turkey but UK manufacturers are unable to deliver the same.
