9kg drum capacity - great for medium-sized households
Sensors work out the perfect drying time for each load
Certified Woolmark Blue programme - extra care for wool
Rated B for energy efficiency
Dimensions (cm) - H85 x W59.5 x D61
This Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer has a 9kg capacity so it’s perfect for medium sized households. Condenser dryers use clever tech to turn hot, moist air into water – which collects in a container that you can easily empty later. This model has sensor drying technology which uses moisture detectors in the drum to monitor your clothes – the cycle automatically stops when your clothes reach a selected level of dryness. This keeps your clothes feeling new for longer whilst saving you money on your bills.
I carried out a lot of research on tumble dryers before deciding on another Hotpoint - really because I wanted the graphite colour. This one is much quieter and more efficient than my old Hotpoint and its worth buying a larger capacity as it cuts down on drying loads. Lots of features on this dryer and fairly easy to read instructions. I've only used this dryer about five times but so far no complaints.

compact and easy to use dryer ideal for smaller kitchens.
This slim build dryer is ideal for smaller kitchens or for those wanting to save space in any kitchen. Because the water container of this condenser dryer is located in a drawer the front of the machine, you don’t need to worry about access and the great benefit of a condenser dryer is no plumbing so it could be placed anywhere you want. Great looking with a sleek design, the first thing you notice is the number of settings and special programmes that it has to offer. But, while it may look overwhelming at first, the Ultima is refreshingly simple to use. Initial setup is a breeze, just plug it in and it’s ready to go. The capacity is an excellent 9Kg making it ideal for family wash-loads. There are settings for every type of drying need (and some you haven’t even thought of!) The different settings are accessed via a series of push buttons with presets, and a programmable button allowing you to create the perfect setting to get your clothes dry. There are buttons for easy iron, reduced fluff and even a “soft toy” function to prevent those “won’t go to sleep without teddy” nights while their cuddly friend is drying! Once washing is loaded into the drier just pick the function you need, press the button and leave it to work. A bleep will let you know when your washing has finished drying and you can pause the cycle at anytime to take out clothes that are already dry and improve the overall efficiency. Drying time is average but can be boosted by using the turbo dry and other extra functions (although this would increase the energy cost of each drying cycle). This model also has a timer delay function so you can set the drier to start when it’s convenient for you. My personal favourite setting is the “heat & enjoy” button. This lets you load in your bath towels/bath robes/clothes and gently warm them to body temperature for a cosy treat on a cold day. Quite honestly there are far too many settings available on this machine to go through them all here but with specific settings for the likes of jeans and woollens as well as the more general settings you can rest assured that this drier will cater for your needs. The maintenance of the machine is easy, the front loaded water container can be easily removed after every drying cycle to be emptied. The filter simply slides out from its position at the front of the drum allowing for easy cleaning, and the condenser unit is also easily removed to allow removal of fluff build up from the condenser plates. Overall this is a solid, great looking appliance with plenty of extra features and with all of the convenience you would expect from a condenser drier. I would definitely recommend it.

A Good Buy
After using this dryer for a few weeks I like almost everything about it. It has quite a few different programs which you can adjust with a press of a button. It does a great job of drying without tangling or creasing as well. The only problem for me, as it's in the kitchen, is that it's just a little too noisy for where I have it, but I can live with that.

So far so good
This is a review for the tumble dryer and AO. I originally bought this tumble dryer from John Lewis who got Hotpoint to deliver it directly from their warehouse. I'm not sure how they handled it but they managed to crack the whole base. So sent it back and decided to order with AO and noticed how much more care they took when delivering it. Well done!
Now to the tumble dryer - it has great features and settings and does the job well. I like the fact that it tells you how long is left.
