7kg drum capacity - great for medium-sized households
Rated B for energy efficiency
Easy iron programme reduces ironing time
Short cycle uses cool air to refresh clothes
Dimensions (cm) - H85 x W59.5 x D55
With a 7kg capacity, this vented tumble dryer from Hotpoint is ideal for medium-sized households. With 15 programmes to choose from, this model has a setting to take care of a wide range of different fabrics. The special baby cycle uses a constant heat to maintain a small level of moisture, leaving these delicate clothes super soft. There’s a really useful refresh cycle too that’s great for reviving clothes that haven’t been worn in a while. And, using the delay timer, you can even set the cycle to start at whatever time suits you.
The dryer has a programme system rather than just a drying time, each programme basically alters the time, most of the times are too long and is determined by the size of the laundry load you are putting in, which the dryer has no knowledge of. So really there should be a basic timer, not programmes. Also this is advertised as a sensor dryer, it has no sensor, and will continue through the whole programme whether the washing is bone dry or soaking. - The buttons need a good press to get going, the front plastic control panel needed pressing in before use, which makes me think quality control is poor for hotpoint. However, all this being said, it does dry the clothes well, certainly better than our smaller dryer we had previously.

Different than usual ....
Had a few Hotpoint dryers in the past with the normal minute timer dials but this dryer has preprogrammed sections which has taken a little bit of getting used to. I'm getting there! Positive - massive drum so clothes dry better with more space. It's quiet. Love the fluff filter as this all stays together rather than bits all over the floor.
Negative - don't know the actual temperature that the dryer is drying the clothes. this has made me feel a little out of control. Also because I would dry a mixture of cottons and synthetics the dryer is set up for cottons or synthetics so again still feeling a little unsure.

Not bad but not great
i previously had a Zanussi dryer which took 7kg of washing easily. This machine claims that it takes 7kg but in reality that isn't the case. This machine definitely has a smaller drum than my last machine and this was confirmed by the Hotpoint dryer not being able to dry a double quilt cover without it ending up in a soggy ball! Also the build seems quite flimsy and the controls don't feel as if they are built to last at all, it's quite noisy too. It does dry the washing well but I have had to make sure that my washing is split into 2 drying loads to ensure that everything gets dry. I am a little disappointed by this machine and wish that I had spent a little more money and bought another brand but that said it's not a bad dryer, just not as good as I thought it would be.

Good features easy to use would definetly recommend

Quiet machine, easy to use. As the weather is dreadful at the moment I am finding it really handy - no clotheshorses around the house with dripping washing; causing condensation in the house.

Cracking Tumble Dryer
Really impressed so far with my dryer. I had a Hotpoint Aquarius that lasted 18 years before this one so I hope it's as reliable. It's easy to use and dries the items well. It's not too noisy either and the drum is a really good size. Would definitely recommend.
