Stand Installation, Disposal
Stand Installation £ 44.99
We want you to enjoy your new TV as soon as possible. Rather than messing about with cables and following loads of steps in the instruction manual, let us set it up for you. We'll attach the new TV to the stand that it comes with. If you've bought an additional TV stand, there's a separate installation charge. We'll also tune it in, set up any Smart features and connect up all your existing kit. We’ll even take away the bulky packaging.
Disposal £ 14.99
We’ll happily take away your old TV for you and recycle it. All we ask is that it’s unplugged and ready to go. The fee for this service relates to the cost of taking your old TV away on our van rather than the recycling service. If you've paid for installation, we will recycle your old TV free of charge.
HDR delivers lifelike colours to ramp up 4K viewing
Smart TV & HDR streaming - catch up TV, movies & more
Freeview HD with Freeview Play - live & catch up TV
3 HDMI & 3 USB ports - plug in lots of devices at once
Experience the most vivid, lifelike picture with this incredible 40” Smart TV from Panasonic. It uses Certified 4K Ultra HD technology to draw you into the heart of the drama onscreen – providing an incredibly detailed resolution. This model features HDR, for unparalleled colours and contrast, so you feel like you’re looking at the real world instead of a screen. With Freeview HD and Freeview Play built-in, you get access to amazing free channels and catch-up services instantly. And navigating through apps and On Demand TV is simpler than ever thanks to the user-friendly My Homescreen 2.0 interface.
To achieve the Certified Ultra HD 4K stamp of approval, a TV needs to have true 4K resolution that uses four times more pixels than Full HD, as well as vivid 8 bit colour depth. By choosing this model, you can rest assured that you’ll experience the very best that UHD 4K has to offer. As the number of channels broadcasting in 4K continues to grow, your TV will be ready – so you can enjoy new content the way it was meant to be seen. You’ll also benefit from 4K upscaling to make more of HD channels and your Blu-ray collection.
High Dynamic Range
HDR takes 4K viewing to the next level, delivering incredibly vivid, life-like colours that’ll make sure you enjoy the ultimate home cinema experience. By ramping up the contrast, HDR provides brighter whites and darker blacks, so every frame is super-dynamic and detailed. This means a more realistic picture onscreen, so you’ll feel more immersed in what you’re watching.
Freeview HD with Freeview Play
This Panasonic TV gives you instant access to over 60 fantastic Freeview channels, including 12 in HD. And it’s all completely subscription-free – you just need to tune your TV in and you can start watching right away. This model also features Freeview Play, which makes catching up on your favourite shows easy. Simply connect your TV to your home broadband to access shows from the last 7 days from a range of popular channels, all in one place.
Smart My Home Screen 2
With its simple circle icons, Panasonic makes Smart TV simple. The clever My Home Screen 2.0 platform is powered by Firefox, so navigating through catch-up TV services and apps is super-quick and easy. The clutter-free design also makes setting and customising all your favourite apps fast, fun and effortless. This means it takes less time than ever to find and select your favourite programmes – so you can start watching as soon as you’re ready.
Connectivity 3HDMI 3USB
With 3 HDMI ports, this Panasonic TV allows you to plug in your games console, set top box and DVD player at the same time - so it’s ideal for games night and movie marathons. There are also 3 handy USB ports to give you instant access to the content on your portable memory, so you can check out your holiday snaps on the big screen.

I wasn't expecting this tv to be any different to the Samsung tv that we had since we had only purchased that one a few years back but I was astonished at how technology has raced ahead in such a short space of time. It took about 20 minutes from taking it out of the box, adding the internet connection details, and then firings up the apps to get this tv to start singing it's own praises. You don't need to be smart to set this TV up, it's incredibly straight forward and easy to do, but boy the stuff on it blows my mind. Now I can throw away the other boxes that gave me connections to catch up tv, because it's all there already uploaded in an app to click and watch. You need a proper LNB to connect it for the actual freeview to work but as we already have a freesat box, we just connected that to it's one of many HDMI slots and was watching with crystal clarity within a few minutes. This is only the start of what this TV can do. You can even do your shopping on it once you fire up the web browser - who knew you could do something like that without having a smart phone or laptop. Incredible. The edge to edge screen too looks superb - I haven't seen anything so beautifully crisp on HD before as our old TV was good but not as good as this, I felt as if I could reach out and touch the leaves on the trees the clarity is so good. Wow. Just wow. If TV's continue to evolve like this then count me in for the long ride as I want to experience it all.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Value for moneyCons: None

Impressive picture and sound quality
Upgraded from a 37" full HD set and the picture quality is amazing - at its best it can be like looking out of a window. The HDR feature, although apparently technically basic, still gives masses of contrast between black and brighter areas of the picture. Sound quality is a concern for many when choosing a flat screen TV. This set is louder and clearer than my old one - certainly no need for a soundbar. Firefox OS is smart and quick and you can control the whole thing from your phone, which is a bonus as it doesn't work with the Sky+ remote.
Pros: Looks good, Value for moneyCons: No Sky+ remote code

Very good on all I was looking for in a TV.
The only slight Con is the on light is very bright and can not be turned off or dimed and is in centre on the bottom just below the screen which I find distracting while watching the TV. But sorted with a small piece of tape over it.
Pros: Ease to use, Good build quality, Looks good, Value for moneyCons: green on light to bright
Female, Over 65, Small Family from London

Panasonic tx40dx700 b 40" had smart tv
Good TV but I feel that the adjustments for changing the colour etc are not good enough the picture is difficult to get how it is needed it appears a faint grey and to adjust seams not to get it how the contrast colour and brightness should be
Pros: Ease to use, Looks good
Female, 55 to 65, Small Family from London
Great smart provision
Bought this from AO in July after looking at loads of reviews online for all tvs with these features. After talking to a very helpful guy on the end of a phone I bought this as we were getting rid of sky. The helpful guy (Zac ?) suggested I bought an indoor aerial as it was going in a room with no outside aerial. It worked perfectly from the start. I can watch live TV using the excellent thompson aerial and all catch up channels are available plus netflix . Easy to navigate. Loads of apps and can browse the Internet. No cons......great tv....just what I wanted .
Pros: All catch up channels and netflix , Ease to use, Good build quality, Huge range of channels, Looks goodCons: None
