Great value from Zanussi. Zanussi’s ZBB28651SA gives you loads of room with its 70/30 split. The fridge has 200 litres of space and there’s 63 litres in the freezer. It’s got lots of handy tech including an Auto Defrost feature. This prevents an icy build-up and you having to do another chore! The fridge is split with 4 adjustable shelves and a salad crisper. This makes it perfect for your weekly shop. In terms of cost, you're looking at spending around £46 a year to run this model as it comes with an impressive A+ energy rating.
Energy ratings for fridge freezers range from A+++ to D. The higher the rating, the more efficient your appliance will be. This model has an A+ rating which is fairly good. It’ll use less energy than lower rated models – which is both great for the environment and your electricity bill.
Fits in a tall cabinet
Ideal if you want to create a streamlined kitchen or you already have integrated appliances, this model has been designed to fit perfectly at eye level amongst your kitchen cabinets. This way, you can effortlessly pack away the weekly shop and see inside your fridge freezer with ease. As you can fit your cabinet door on the front, it’s a subtle addition to your kitchen. While saving space, this model doesn’t scrimp on performance, as it still has the same fantastic features you’d expect from a freestanding model.
Experience the same fantastic features and reliable build quality from this freezer without the need for defrosting. By using a fan to constantly circulate cold air inside the cabinet, this model prevents ice from forming on the freezer walls, meaning you’ll no longer have to scrape away ice and frost. As well as eliminating maintenance work, your food is also kept fresher and healthier as ice doesn’t form on your frozen items.
Quick freeze function
This Zanussi freezer features an excellent Quick Freeze function that rapidly cools the whole freezer. It’s perfect for when you’re unpacking the weekly shop and food may have thawed a little, as newly entered food returns to the best temperature quicker. As well as keeping your food fresh and frozen, this feature also preserves flavours and nutrients, so you get the most out of your food.
Reversible door hinge
You get maximum flexibility with this model, as the door can be placed on either side. Depending on whether you want your model to open from the left or right hand side, it will accommodate to any preference and kitchen.
I was very impressed with this product. It is very roomy, looks good, makes a few little squeaks and whurrs now and then but basically it is extremely quiet. Lots of room and very efficient.

This is a very good fridge freezer. For a 70/30 split the freezer compartments are still quite large to store certain items in. However the main attraction is the fridge itself the capacity very very large with five shelves of storage this is enough for me especially with a large family. The temperature control can be a little tricky to figure out quite straightforward. The quality of the fridge and the shelves are good however I still feel that the fridge freezer its self is a little expensive

Didn't meet expectations
Disappointed with the capacity and running noise of this fridge freezer. Reviews were all good and expected better. Not enough room inside and no temperature gauge in the freezer. Noise from the kitchen keeps me awake at night from this appliance! No internal fittings such as egg holders or freezer blocks.

Replaced existing built in fridge/freezer, like the light which comes on gradually when door opened

So pleased with this appliance. I chose the frost free version knowing the freezer capacity would be much smaller as a result, so this aspect will be a challenge after living with an American style fridge freezer up to now! But as we are retired I am hoping a smaller capacity will suffice....certainly would not be great for a family in my opinion although fridge capacity is really great.

So fridge freezers do something pretty simple having been around for decades. They all keep your items chilled and frozen depending on which compartment that you put them in.The unit works, its is quiet.
There isn't a lot of value add that you can add designing a fridge though you'd think if you were going to do it you might put some thought into how end users might use it. A few thoughts for Zanussi next time you design a fridge freezer.
The stuff you put in fridges comes in different sizes jars, bottles, packs so you want a bit of flexibility to vary the storage space/shelves. This one has quite limited flexibility relative to other units I've had before, I presume to make it cheaper and easier to manufacture hence better profits. Subsequently you can't have a narrow self just wide enough to fit cans or wine bottles into, you have to waste lots of space above. A standard 500ml yoghurt container won't fit between the standard shelves etc etc so it's actually quite difficult to use the fridge effectively due to the spacing of the shelves. We have a family and want to be able to use the space effectively, you can't with this one.
There is quite a lot of space in the door which leave room to put tall items in, though the lip on the door shelves is really low which makes it feel like things are going to fall out when you open the door fast. It's a pain if things fall out of your fridge door.
The freezer compartment are all trays rather than any shelves which makes it difficult to make ice without the water sloshing out as you put the tray in, again a poor design but which probably saves money in the manufacture but makes it less usable.
