Keep your kitchen fresh and free of cooking smells with this Zanussi built-in cooker hood. You can remove cooking smells and smoke with ease as there are 3 different extraction levels to choose from. This model also features a filter that removes grease and oil from fried foods from the air. This model also features 2 halogen lights that brightly illuminate hobs, so you can keep an eye on your dinner bubbling away.
Cooker hoods are designed to remove steam and odours from your kitchen by pulling in air and cleaning it. The extraction rate determines how quickly this can be done. This model has three extraction speeds to choose from, so it’s great for clearing the air in your kitchen quickly. Select the lowest setting when you’re simmering or steaming food and the highest setting for frying and strong-smelling food.
Suitable for 60cm hobs
When you’re looking for a cooker hood to suit your kitchen space, you want to make sure that it’s the right size. This model would look fantastic above a 60cm wide hob and would be able to remove the amount of steam generated by a hob of this size – making it ideal for a standard-sized kitchen.
With a noise level of 61db, this cooker hood produces a medium-level sound. So whether you’re entertaining guests, watching the TV or listening to music, you won’t get too much of a distraction from the extraction fan.
Extraction and recirculation
When it comes to extracting air, you can choose to vent it externally or recycle air back into your kitchen. If you can connect a ventilation hose to an external wall, the cooker hood will draw air in and push it outside. If your kitchen layout doesn’t allow for this, charcoal filters will remove unwanted odours and smoke, before releasing the clean air back into your kitchen. This means your kitchen will always be nice and refreshed – whatever layout you have.
Low extraction rate
The amount of air that can be removed from your kitchen in an hour depends on how powerful the extraction rate of your cooker hood is. This model has a low extraction rate, which means it’s ideal for clearing steam, smoke and cooking smells from a small area.
Purchased this as the filter grille kept dropping down due to part of the locking mechanism falling off. Not bad considering that was the only thing to break after nearly 16 years! Excellent value for money and great that this model is still being manufactured. As mentioned in a previous review, the build quality is not quite as good. The round seal at the top kept jumping out so put the old one in. Also the round vent was in a slightly different place which necessitated some tweaking with the ducts.

Like for like replacement
Bought this as a like-for-like replacement of the existing unit in our kitchen which, due to poor installation by the house builders wasn't extracting properly and had developed a number of faults. Asides from having to take apart parts of the kitchen cabinets to remove the old unit, once we'd aligned the unit with the mountings on the wall, it was a doddle to fit.
This unit comes with both recirculation (requires a charcoal filter) and direct extraction. The unit is very noisy on top extraction setting (although that may be because I've not yet refitted the extraction shroud above the unit a-top my kitchen cupboards.
Some people have commented that it's not easy to fit and the instructions are not very good - that's not my experience. There's a template to mount on the wall, one to match up drill holes for the cabinets either side of it and a further template for attaching a front vanity panel - can't really ask for more.

not very impressed
appliance arrived with only one light working and no filter. It was very difficult for the builder to install and the instructions were awful.

Good, but needs better instructions
Got this for the in-laws to replace a 30 year old Zanussi unit that had failed. It's OK for the price and once installed does what it says on the tin.
My only complaint would be that the installation instructions are very poor, basically a number of multi-language hole drilling templates with confusing information on them. I had searched online prior to buying for installation instructions and most units appeared similarly poor in providing documentation. I got it installed and working, but would have taken half the time if clear instructions had been provided.

This Zanussi cooker hood was at the cheaper end of the scale but does a good job. Mainly out of sight, but neat. Simple controls, perhaps a bit noisy but seems to do the job. Fits into a standard size space and fairly straight forward to fit.
