Installation Information

Gas Installation

Our qualified gas engineers can connect your gas cooker, range cooker, oven or hob when they deliver. They’ll make sure the job’s done to a high and safe standard, and our expert team can also disconnect your old appliance if you need them to.

Gas Safe

A note about the serious stuff

Attempting to install a gas appliance yourself could potentially be very dangerous, and could invalidate your warranty.

All gas work must legally be completed by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and if a certificate is not supplied your house insurance may also be invalidated.

What we'll do

  • Unpack and inspect your new appliance
  • Check that the area you want your new appliance installed is safe
  • Disconnect your old appliance if required
  • Safely connect it to any existing gas pipes
  • Fit up to 1.2m of new gas pipework to your existing gas supply
  • Test that it works and give you a safety certificate too

What we need you to do

Before our engineers connect your gas appliance, there are a few things we’ll need you to check so the installation can go ahead. If these things aren’t checked, unfortunately we may not be able to install. If you've any questions about our service, we're on hand to help - just call 0344 980 3398.

Hot Zone

Is the ‘Hot Zone’ area clear of flammable materials (damaged wallpaper, electrical switches, overhanging boilers or cupboards), and is there enough of a gap between your cooker or hob and anything above it (usually a minimum of 75cm)?

Ventilation

Is there enough room to allow for ventilation around the back and sides of your new appliance, and is there a window or door direct to the outside of the property in the room?

Gas Supply

Is there an existing gas supply to the installation point, and a 3 pin electric socket or cooker point within 1.2 metres of the installation location? We can fit up to 1.2m of new gas pipework to your existing gas supply if you need us to.

Have a watch of our videos. They’ll tell you everything you need to know about our service.
