If you’re trying to set up your new Apple HomePod, there’s no need to worry. It’s super simple, just plug it in, connect it to your iPhone or iPad and follow the on-screen instructions. We’re here to help though.

How do I set up an Apple HomePod smart speaker?

  • Firstly, make sure your HomePod is 6-12 inches away from a wall or corner.
  • Plug your Apple HomePod in. You should be able to hear a chime and see a white light on the top of the device.
  • Grab your iPhone or iPad, hold it close to your Apple HomePod and tap 'Set Up' when it appears on your screen.
  • Choose which room your Apple HomePod is in.
  • Link up your Apple HomePod with your Wi-Fi network, then you can link to your iCloud account, Apple Music and more to personalise your experience.
  • Finally, Siri will greet you and you can get started!
